Just thought it would be useful to have a thread where people list their opinions on the BEST Free MMO Game.

    Its not free but its cheap. Its called There and it is 4.95 a year. There is rich in back ground history and its enviorments are breath taking. There is focused on meeting people and having fun. You can design and be a part of the ever growing community. There is truely the place to be!

    Please, no. There is 90% user created. The community is the nicest I have ever seen and the over all world is so amazing. People have created ThereOrleans, Heaven, Atlantis, and alot more. I don't get what there is not to like. I have been a member of There for over a year and have not thought of leaving game for one second.

    Ajice, try running a search here on mmorpg with best free mmorpg, you'll find enough threads.

    I did not mean for it to be annoying, but I believe it could prevent more of them from appearing, because this is a question many people would like to know the answer to.

    You just don't get it right, we've had too many threads about 'Say the best free mmorpg in here' Etc.
    And you didn't get another thing too: There is no 'best' mmorpg, everybody got different tastes.

    Which is why no matter if you started this thread or not, another one just like it will be up by tomorrow. I agree with Warc..these threads are WAY too prevalent.

    If they are prevalent then there is a need.  And just as there are "tastes" in which is the best mmorpg, there are "tastes" in what is relevant.  After all, this is the "general discussion" area of a mmorpg site.  Anyway, something like this should be stickied to prevent clutter.  Consider a continous thread where people list there favorite at the time.

    There's dozens of free MMOs. You just need to do some work and go find them, because most are asian in origin, nearly all are in an asian language as well.

    Rubies Of Eventide
    Knight Online
    Kal Online
    Planeshift
    Xiah


    Others that I have heard decent things about...
    ROSE Online
    MapleStory
    Runescape


    like many of the others said...there are many, many out there. Only you know what you like. Try em out.

     I see everyone's points. But everyone needs to consider this:

      1. There IS a need to discuss which pay to play MMORPG is best, or what is good and not good about each one. Why? Because people have a limited amount of money to budget. They cannot try every single pay 2 play mmorpg to see for theirselves.

     2. There is NOT a need to discuss which f-r-e-e MMORPG is best, or very little need. Why? Because anyone, everyone, all people can try every single one and litterally see for theirselves. Everyone has nothing to lose.

    And not a single one of them is cartoony :P At least my thread stated that they are asian :P Some places to check would be http://www.e-games.com.my and http://www.gamengame.com after that you're more or less on your own. They'll bring you to offshoot sites that you can find dozens of games from.

    Runescape is not very good unless you pay for membership, and even then, it is only good if you don't mind playing with a bunch of kids.

    Runescape is the best free one i believe...has everything...bad graphics, addictive gameplay, skill based, and its free (unless you become a member). I dont like rs2 anymore
