Similar to Shadowbane

transienttransient Member UncommonPosts: 1

Are there any MMO's out there similar to Shadowbane in that players can create their own castles/forts and battle each other?

I know Age of Conan was planning on something like this but it wasn't at launch and I didn't stick around long enough to see how it panned out. Is Age of Conan's PvP any good?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Darkfall's a MAJOR grind and the end-game players are so overpowered that no regular player (i.e. people who actually have lives) can stand a chance against them. Stick around for Darkfall 2.0

Mortal Online would be one to look at.

    You've played archeage already, huh?

Avoid Mortal Online like the plague, it has nothing of the atmosphere or fun that SB had. It is also mostly broken. If you really have to try it, do the free trial (if you can get it to work heh).

You might try one of the UO freeshards, but due to terrible companies such as StarVault it seems sandbox is a much maligned concept in the mainstream just now.

Darkfall is proly the only way to go till archeage come out , which is a LONG way off so not worth paying attention too yet , its the best game like it on the market atm and with all the changes coming with 2.0 its realy  shaping up, nothing else like it even close to as good for the next 6 months to a year at least , Good Luck .

None sense buddy.Do you want to play whenever you like and still be equal to the ones that dedicate their entire time to the game?I'm glad that's not happening. You get  money(assuming you work when you're not playing) irl,he gets etter at the game. You're free to choose what you want to do.

I'll probably end up back to Darkfall too, I wanted just a generic raiding MMO to satisfy my off-nights with a busy scheduel.. but nothing is appealing to me. So it's back to PVP I guess!

    Currently playing - FF14ARR
Previous games - SWG, World of Warcraft, ShadowBane, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall, Planetside Asheron's Call, Everquest, Everquest 2, Too many.

I don't know if Age of Conan PvP any good but it your best bet. If you just want castle seige go play Dark Age of Camelot or Ragnum Online.
