While most of the European CCP team is on holiday, the US team continues to battle lag and make plans for the release of the v1.1 EVE Online: Incarna patch on August 30th. In a new blog post, CCP Fallout gives a peek into the future for Incarna and what may be coming down the road.
It's a tradition: every time summer rolls around, Europeans take nice, long vacations. As an American, I tend to become overly amused by this; my Puritanical (pure tyrannical?) self cannot fathom the idea of taking three or four weeks off at a time, and secretly, I envy my co-workers, those lucky, loveable bastards!
Another tradition: during the summer months, EVE Online players become anxious for more news and information about their favorite game. Vacation time, for the average capsuleer, is EVE time. Capsuleers rarely take time off from flying around in space, pulling the latest, greatest, ever-larger scams, or engaging in massive fleet battles that make CCP Veritas salivate with glee.

How about some actual content? Incarna didn't add anything except a glorified re-portraitization.
Did somebody say monocle?

Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world."

Because, as with Incursus, the update is being applied in stages, ye of little knowledge. It's the first stage of ambulation.
Now, that said, they haven't released any patch notes as of yet. I hope they do soon, because I'm curious.
Incarna 1.1 doesn't even have the other ship quarters that were supposed to be in the original Incarna release. It's sad that Incarna is taking up such a huge amount of development time that could be used on features and art that pertains to the actual game that people play.
Dang. Where'd you read up on that?
I assume Mechtech's talking about establishments, not ‘ship quarters,’ which were never in the plans, at least not publicly. And establishments are in 1.1.
Establishments AREN'T in 1.1. What is in 1.1 though is better useability for CQ and some fixes as per what I read from the blog.
This is not a game.
As usual the EVE Online development team moves as slowly as molasses in January going uphill when it comes to releasing new features. Where does all the EVE development time go? I think they must be one of the most inefficient development houses out there.
Copare them to say, Paragon Studios and City of Heroes, and EVE is kinda a joke for development times.
