FAILED's invisible brother on the prowl.

Like I told other people failed was not fixed.  They just removed the chat saying you got hit by FAILED.  Now you just take dmg from invisible people and the only way you know is by watching your health bar decrease.  I hope people pay attention to their health during big fights.  This just shows how inept at coding a game SV is. 

SV= Well don't know how to fix the FAILED bug.  Lets just take the chat warning out.  Maybe they will not notice thier health decreasing out of no where.

default What the FAILED?




We had some big fights today, and invisible players and FAILED hits were still in game.



But now, there is no log shown when you get hit by FAILED. You take damage as normal but there in nothing that shows up in the player log.



This is worse than ever, Starvault. Did you think it would be better to take the log out? WTF were you thinking? Please put the old code back, because a log of an invisible attack is better than an invisible attack with an invisible log.

    yup, apparently when you already have a certain ammount of people on your screen the game has a really hard time loading more players...or something like that. and we are not talking about 500 people on your screen, we are talking 30/40 +......

     

    this isn't a "oh gees, i can't split my item stacks in my inventory" bug. this is a "i can't see who the hell is killing me, but he can see me"....... in a ffa, full loot, pvp focused mmo!

     

    i wander how many people would still be playing WoW if raid bosses would just randomly disappear and kill entire raids wile invisible.....

    Anyway - what would maybe help is some NPC that yells "Hey, come here and help me out", you know - the standard kinda noob-tutorial by doing stuff. Maybe even on a starter island.

    I mean, it's not like you guys don't know what these tuts look like, they just would have to be implemented.

    hmm thats strange, first responce we got with Dawn was performance improved. Since we did clear up a log of heavy alocated memory in that patch, and we was happy to see players confirm the performance gain.



    Not sure if we went down a bit in patches since then, but before Dawn overall it should be better.

    Things like this will happen when overzealous fans claim things are "fine".   I cant count how many times something was touted as being "fixed" here, which later proved false.  Clearly SV knew the steps taken to "fix" the issue, they had to know they were only masking it.

    Man getting hit by invisible people has been in the game since beta.  In some form or another.  Crossing a node line.  Crossing too many node lines in too short amount of time, Not relogging every so often, Too many people on the screen, Too many buildings around you, Being next to water.  15 months after release and people are still getting whacked by invisible people el oh el.......

    Come on now.  In the last couple weeks a lot of people have been banned from the forums for saying much less than Psycho.  You and I both know and SV knows Psycho is in the largest guild on the server.  Do the math what would happen if Psycho got banned for speaking his mind.

    Even I got banned.  Finally.

    Well, I can be a rude SOB when I'm crossed often enough.  Repeatedly.  Downright dishonestly IMNSHO.  Even so, I eventually just got too dizzy from trying to stay on the high road.  So I galloped off of that cliff.

    In spite of it all I have hated the alternative enough to try repeatedly--there is nothing currently out there even remotely resembling the things they tried to do.

    If they have failed they have failed for reaching too high,  I have failed for falling too low, and we all have lost now.

     

    I am no less human in that regard than anyone at SV and no more.  Its not really worth anything but I am truly sorry.

    Kaid I saw you got banned but I never seen you say anything as bad as some others on the forum.  What did you actually say that got you banned?

     plenty of aq have been banned from forums, cyde, dotix, warchild, rdomi and others. To claim aq do not get banned from the forums is rediculous, but we dont get banned from the forums hwen it coems to discussiong problems with the game that is the difference. You can see from blackmages thread how topics usually go on the mo forums its likely people will start getting warning and bans on mmorpg.com if the thread goes anymore into baiting and flaming just like it does on the mo forums quite often and that includes flaming the developers or community.

    Well I was very critical of the game.  I never said stuff like Psycho  "this game is shit"  "this game is dead".   And I got perma banned reason "Persona Non Grata"....  lol

    I held some SV employees accountable publicly one time too many apparently   :)

    I don't blame them but I don't think it will help them now.
