DDO has 3 levels of membership

    - Free to play

    - Premium  (need to be ex-sub, or bought something in store, or had gamekey)

    - monthly sub  (VIP)

    membership chart

Turbine points are restricted to the specific game - and cannot be used in other Turbine games

    3. Will DDO and LOTRO points combine?

NO. Turbine Points are not transferrable, so Turbine Points purchased in the DDO Store cannot be transferred to the LOTRO Store or vice versa.

I think I will try the F2P of LOTRO and if I like it, sub. And I will try Vanguard since it seems like it's only 10$ on steam. I am looking at the VIP version of LOTRO and it doesn't seem like you get crazy advantages higher than the regulars. I could be wrong though.

Thanks for all the input guys.
