Recently there was a big pr event where bloggers had to sign an NDA since then nothing pow zip nada. I'm cruising the streets for something to play but honestly all signs point back to other games.
Has this game become the ugly step child daddy bioware-mythic would rather just died in a closet while the prom queen swtor pranced around like a show pony NEHHHHHH.

From what I've heard, there's something cooking and an announcement scheduled for late August or so.
I'm sort of thinking it might be F2P or freemium, but that's an uninformed guess at best.

The announcement they made such a big fuss about and made the bloggers sign an NDA for was revealed recently at one of the conventions. It turned out to be a spin off F2P lobby based version of the scenarios from war, they're calling it Warhammer Online : Wrath of Heroes or some nonsense. Pre-made characters with only 5 skills each but with no cast times.
But to answer the question, yes it very much seems as though WAR is now the red headed step child of Bioware-Mythic. Zero content updates and rarely even any bug fixes. They made a big deal about how WAR players will benefit from this new F2P arena thing but in reality it does nothing for the game and will likely make them lose customers from WAR rather than gain them. If they had pulled their finger out and fixed the glaringly obvious problems and the reasons they cannot retain customers in WAR and THEN brought out the spin off then maybe it could have been a good thing but alas I cannot see it as even the WAR devs themselves openly admit that they are not being given the resources to develop the game further. A shame as I genuinely like WAR and currently still play it.
When companies buy up other companies such as mythic getting bought out you then some times end up with junk assets. EA may indeed look at WAR as a junk asset and was just trying to make what money they could off of it at the time. Then EA acquired Bioware they probly really didn't care about WAR anymore.
Got sniped by others about the announcement
But don't know about the bad step-child. The game is still around and as far as I have gathered they still bring in patches and changes to it. Perhaps on a minimal basis, but still the game is being supported and not shut down.

Guess Ill never get to see those other cities...
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Playing: Nothing
Looking forward to: Nothing
If the game is ugly, then I guess I like ugly lol.
To above poster, probably not, I doubt they would do anything that massive that would split the server pops more. There is still a chance they might do some massive updates, considering they are still updating DAOC... If anything, they will probably still adding bits and peices here and there, with small content updates.
