Face of Mankind: Under New Management

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

Face of Mankind is now being developed by Nexeon Technologies. The team has sent out notice that the website and forums have been given a much-needed facelift and have a laundry list of game features and fixes that have been implemented in just the last few weeks.

Some of the new in-game features that have been implemented in the past few weeks are:

  • Implementation of New York City: Brooklyn!

  • Implementation of New York City: Ground Zero!

  • More Frequent Patches and Bug Fixes.

  • More User Control (Faction, Department, Group and Cell Leaders).

  • Account Portal Integration (Forums, Account, Billing, and Support).

  • New players now begin with a starting apartment in NYC - Brooklyn.

  • Implementation and expansion of a game tutorial for new players, so the transition into the game is now a much easier process.

You forgot an "e" its Nexeon. But otherwise it's good to see this game coming back from the dead.

[[ DEAD ]] - Funny - I deleted my account on the site using the cancel account button.  Forum user is separate and still exists with no way of deleting it. Delete it admins. Do it, this ends now.

Unless they have fixed the "just get more accounts to make money" mentality of this game they might as well put it back on the dusty shelf. Was in beta way way back when and it was worhtless to try to do anything. People rotated through multiple accounts to harvest starter cash and equipment. With that mentatlity durring testing i'm sure launch went smashinly...

    Fixed years ago.

1 account per IP or immediate auto ban, and 10k starter cash per account, not 25k.

I'm not a FoM fanboy, but I do appreciate it for what it is, and keep going back for more.

It was actaly shaping up fairly nicely (slowly but it started to work) then they changed a whole deal of f2p vs premium stuff and kaboom they broke the comunity.

might take a look this week again since im bored and see whats up these days.

I tried to get back into it a few weeks/months ago, but i don't know. They kinda lost me when they first shutdown (first after i started playing, the had lots of that iirc). It has an interesting concept, but all those back and forth, changing owner, shutting down, major overhauls etc..

I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

I am surprised that this is still around. How is this even considered a game? It's just a chat system with a 3D interface.

Game is amazing if you take the time to get into it.

Sure its not as good as it was in 2005/6, but hey. time change.

This game is unique, nothing else nearly as good as it.

In all honesty, the game is still alive and well, there are many political situations playing out, a huge war going on over a corperation sllisnvr flexing it's muscles too much. Huge groups of people vs. huge groups of people, and they tweaked combat to make it skill based.

Everygame is that untill you decide to do something. Face of Mankind has plenty of stuff to do. Hunting aliens, a very good crafting system, you can become a cop, militairy guy, merc, etc, etc, etc.

True there is a lot of interaction in this game! Chatting with other using the forums, TS or in-game chat is vital to make something of yourself in this game.

Another thing i should add is that the item shop and prem features dont really give you any advantages in combat as compared to someone who isnt prem. some of the best fighters in Face Of Mankind are freemium soldiers.

It's worth a try. It's best to play this game as a secondary to another game (get bored of the main game you play and play fom for a bit during a break). This game is NOT to be played by itself because than it seems rather stale.

    Legends live on forever.
