ArcheAge possible release in 1Q 2012

They say early 2012 but i think it's going to be released in q4 2012

    Q1 2012 might be correct for Korea actually, as they allready did Beta part3 and approaching open beta. However for the western countries, well... give it another 6-12 month.

    I dont think they even have a western publisher yet :( so yeah at least a year before it comes out of korea

    In Korea it will be released by the end of 2011, for sure. Now about a West release, most propably maximum Q2 of 2012. (It's almost official)

    Ryzom, Haven and Hearth, Xsyon, The Repopulation, UO private shards, Mortal Online, Darkfall 1 remakes (New Dawn or Rise of Agon), RPG MO, Project Gorgon, EQ: Sanctuary (custom  server)

    With a number of betas already underway I'd say Korean launch will be in 2011, and global (who cares about NA?) will be in spring 2012.

    Getting western publishers lol - who wouldn't want to publish this game?

    Look at the videos for CBT3.  I got to say at LEAST Q1 2012 if not Q2.  The game is offering sooooo many features and has to still test the entire northern continent and PvP, sieges etc.. then tweak it all and have the content thatll drive  a purpose for it.   AA is going to be a block buster of content right on launch.. They need to make sure that their game runs smooth and is fairly polished.   In my opinion, the game looks like its coming along great but has alot of work needed... 

     

    Western publishers will jump on this game when its in a more stable state.  Right now XLGames are still playing around and balancing it.  Hell, we only saw 3 of the 8 races...  If the crappy fail mmos today can get publishers.. this ones guaranteed on paper.

    I hope they dont rush this... I think the fusion between Sandbox(y) and themepark elements coukd move the genre in a positive direction if this is done right. So far I am really exited about this, however I am cautious of the hype. Too many unfinished, overhyped garbage being rushed out the door these days.

    In Darkfall, there was no NA launch...but everyone could play on EU...then when NA launched, we could transfer over.  Maybe they will do that here?

    Very very true. Lot of half ass crap these days.  At least with AA we can see what were getting into as there is alot of video out there.  So far alot of the key features are smooth and mostly bug free like Houses, ships, mounts, PvE, quests, and even PvP for the most part.  Ive watched 4-5 hours worth of gameplay.  I remember youd be lucky if youd saw 1 hour of gameplay total from DarkFall back when it was 1 year from launch and even 2 weeks close to launch, just live streams really.

    It still could be Q1 or Q2 release for NA. Who is to say they are not already starting translations?

    Article state that they will be at least two more CBT , so CBT 4 and CBT 5 , so at least one more CBT than it was originally planned, then OBT.  Becasue even CBT4 date was not set yet  , not to even mention OBT if is safe to assume that Koran release won't be earlier than Q1-Q2 2012. Then we'll have to wait at least few months for NA /EU release.

    I don't think english transation started , no info about it, never heard that developer would start transations itself unless planning to publish and run NA / EU services by itself. Which I very doubt XL Games would do. Remember XL Games even though it is company that has experienced folks , ArcheAge is their second title ,and first mmorpg title and first big production.

    I very much doubt that they would be willing to invest alot of money and run NA / EU operation by themselves. Maybe with some future games but certainly not now with AA.

    Only Chinese transations started becasue Chinese publisher is funding alot of AA developments costs and AFAIK terms and conditions of AA release in China is already set.

     

    So unless NA and/or EU publisher will be set soon I don't see AA releasing in the west sooner than Q3-Q4 2012.
