Any advice?

Games I have played and dont like are..

Darkfall

Eve

Aion

WAR

I am really into hunting and ganking players; but al the games ive tried seem too simple; or they just cant live up to the hype like Darkfall.

I did like WAR in its earlier days before it tok a fall.

And I was spellbound by SWG pre CU for their PVP.

Any ideas on what PVP game I can play casually and start PVP even as a early developed character?

Thanks fellas.

If your are into pvp try League of Legends, for a mmo pvp I would suggest maybe Lineage 2 it has been out for a while but still a great open world pvp game.

Dragon Nest has amazing PvP. It was voted best PvP at E3 2011 :p

And yes, you can pvp early on in the levels. ATM the cap is lvl 24 and you can start pvping right when you hit lvl 10 (1 hour of quests).

PvP is completely balanced and gear does NOT matter. Gear is only really used for PvE.

So with that, a lvl 10 is = to a lvl 24. The only difference is that the lvl 24 obviously has more skills to his disposal.

Give it a try, it's an amazing game I already have 5 lvl 24's :)

For non-mmo games i can recommend both league of legends and bloodline champions. Just incase you're not sure about what the two are ill go over it quick. League of legends is a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) There are two teams of 5 each. You choose a champion. You start at lvl one and max is 18. Killing creeps and players is the way you earn gold and xp. In this game you can actually start ganking at low level. Bloodline Champions is a fast paced pvp arena game. It's become quite competetive with a rather high skill level on most players. But it's cool.

I prefer faction based PVP; where like in SWG players must go "Overt" or "Flag" themselves as factioned so they can gain faction points.. then I skeak in and gank em..

In truth im really looking for something similar to the old SWG.

WAR was okay.  The PvP in that, specially end game is extremely repeatative.  The RvR Lakes and the Tug-of-War style of conquering zones was a great concept, until you realize that there is very little reward for conquering your oppents city and then it all just starts over again.

I too have been constantly looking for a great PvP game.  I currently have my eyes set on GW2 with it's SvSvS world PvP system.  If done right, a 3 way battle in the open world between server could be very interesting.

I've also been following Archeage.  It's sandbox should create wars between the factions to conquer and destroy your enemies towns which they have constructed themselves.

In the meantime, I've reactivated my EQ2 account.  I was always a fan of the level locked low level PvP community in EQ2.  I used to PvP between the levels of 12-22, but it seems there is no community at these levels.  There is a large community of people who are level locked around 32-40 which I am about to join.  The open world RvR in EQ2 is a lot of fun and I simply love the class system in EQ2.

I don't really understand the question.  EQ2 is an RvR game, Freeport vs Quenos.  If you play on the PvP Server (Nagafen) then you can engage your opposing faction freely.

Each zone has a PvP level range that keeps the PvP competitive.  For Example: If your locked at level 35 and your in a T4 zone where the PvP level range is 8, then you can engage, or be engaged by, any player between the levels of 27 and 43.

If you asking what sort of structure there is for the RvR, I don't think there is any structure to it.  There's no outposts of your opponents you can capture in the open world or anything like that.  There are 'Battlegrounds' of sorts, that I think happen in the open world somewhere, but I'm not familar with them at all.

One of the appealing things about the PvP to me is that when you kill a enemy they drop half of their gold that they didn't put into the bank.  Also there is an Infamy system that allows you to earn PvP titles.  For every kill you earn Infamy xp and for every death from a player you lose Infamy xp so you can upgrade your PvP title and also have it downgraded.  You can only earn or lose Infamy once from a player every 30 minutes or so to prevent griefing.

Team Fortress 2 has a spy class that can hunt and stalk players. Plus it's free to play. You can earn weapon upgrades just from playing and anything you buy doesn't give you an advantage, just different options. I've never bought anything from the cash shop and don't feel at a disadvantage at all. It is a shooter, but there are no automatic machine-gun weapons (besides the snipers wimpy submachine gun). It's class-based and has "factions". It's got progression in the form of achievements and weapon upgrades. It's very reminisce of instanced MMO PvP, without the grind, queue times, and pay to win/sub fees. Tons of maps and gameplay modes to play.

    This.

I been looking for a good pvp game for months and haven't found much (tired a bunch).  The only one that give me a bit of joy was Darkfall, I know you mentioned you didn't like it but if you find a good clan (this is key), it can be somewhat enjoyable but the grind to catch up to the vets can get a bit boring.
