A new game is launched and the excitement is insurmountable. Then in game you notice something disturbing someone has
everything, how could they afford it. You look online and find that you can buy game money for real money. The amount of game
money that can be bought so soon after release leaves only one culprit, the developer. No one could farm gold fast enough to
make it worth his or her time after the monthly charge. I hope that ea doesn't sell game money in Star wars the old republic like
they did with daoc. I hope that this game remains pure. I for one would gladly pay more a month to keep the playing field level.
Also with daoc isn't it odd that the only cheat programs you can get are ones that you have to pay for ( not macro but true cheat
programs)? If these programs were built by just anyone then you could find it on utube or just about anywhere. This also hints
that the developer is selling these programs. You say no way would the developer undermine and ruin their own game, really
look at how they undermine their games daily; name the game and if I played it I will show you absolutely how the developer
undermined it to turn a very small quick profit. I just hope that EA and Star Wars have learned enough wisdom to go for the
long haul. That is where the big money is. The purer they keep the game the more people that will stay.

Welcome, braemear. A great first post and I share your hopes, but I must ask you to try and use some line breaks occasionaly, as it makes for much easier reading. ^_^

It's EA.
Be prepared for the following:
Item Shops: They know Star Wars fans (some of the most hardcore sci-fi fans out there) will go crazy over $10 fluff items. So you need to purchase the game, the monthly fees, and still must be subjected to ads (Origin) and cash shops.
Cross-Promotions: Purchase Red Alert 3 Collector's Edition and Obtain a Shape-Shifting Bear Helmet for Warhammer Online. EA did this before; they will do it again.
Collector's Edition Vs. Deluxe Edition: If you're like me, you like to have all the fluff items before they become ultra rare. I was ready to drop $60 or so on the digital copy just for the extra items. However, EA/BioWare knows that most Star Wars fans will pay anything for a few extra fluff items. Thus, they added two additional items that is only for the $150 CE. Greed.
They will continue to find ways to nickel and dime their players...
Great first attempt at line breaking this and I applaud your effort.

Even if it happens, which I'd never know, none of us can stop it. No matter how much we love to think our voice matters, it normally doesnt when it comes to money for the company.
However, it were ever to happen, I would never buy ingame money. I like the feeling I get when I've earned something I"ve been striving for in all my adventures. The journey is what makes the gains oh so sweet.
As far as mico-shops go, most just sell cosmedic(sp) stuff. Things that wont break the game in anyway, ie...mounts, clothing with no stats, just for looks, vainty pets. Meaning you dont need to buy it unless you want to, but it wont change game play in anyway, nor will it make you powerful in anyway. Its just there for bragging rights.
I wont be surprised if Bioware does this, nor EA, after all it is about money.
With a company as big as EA, I'm sure you can count on cheezy, money grabs anywhere they can get em... including glitter swoop bikes and hair dye for wookies... unfortunately.
Small developers that create awesome games get BIG offers by BIG companies to support them with lots and lots of money and this degrades the game usually because the devs give up a lot of the power. I think someone mentioned how much 'greedier' Blizzard seemed after the Activision bedhop.
The good thing about this game with Bioware and EA is that Grandpappy Lucas probably has more money than both of them combined, and I'm thinking he'll get the last say in no matter what they want. The bad news is that he's sold his soul for marketing money grabbers like Jar Jar Binks in the past so who knows, he might be WORSE than EA when it comes to attempted rape on the gaming community.
No bitchers.
Ye gods, they did use line breaks. It's the line breaks that are hurting my brain.
It's unlikely that EA or Bioware would sell gold or bot programs. They just don't need to do it and it would be very bad press for the game.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
