The collectors edition at 150$ is beating the regular edition at 60$ on amazon top selling list?
Something is definetly wrong with this........

It's Star Wars....
My personal view on this is that people who tend to buy CE tend to buy them right away, so you see all the CE sales up front, in one big bang.
The people who buy normal editions tend to either wait or it's more of a steady effect.
So right off the CE is high in sales but tends to drop off quickly to low amount of sales. While the retail edition stays at a normal pace pretty consitantly.
Therefore CE tend to beat retail versions at first, but in the long haul they fall behind retail versions as they slow down.
Basically the line from bladerunner. A candle that is twice as bright burns half as long.

People are stupid. I've bought the CE bonus codes for 20US on Ebay(and claimed them right away foc), and preordered the normal edition.
so for 70US you get the same ingame benefits as with the CE, except the real life junk they give you and honestly the stupid sith statue is not worth 80 bucks...
You just payed for the collectors edition pre-order bonus and bought a normal pre-order (bonus) ontop of it... so basicly you bought two of the same. Since the real bonuses are linked to a code you get with the actual collectors edition.
"You don't have much choice when trouble's riding your back so tight it makes the leather squeak. Sometimes you outsmart it, sometimes you outfight it, and sometimes you just have to outrun it... full throttle."
No when you buy the CE you get multiple codes, one is the game code that will be released when the game is released.
The 2nd one that gives you the early access(that does not required the actual game code to play untill the official launch date) which you claim speralty on the site
And the 3rd one(s) are item codes for all the items taht you get in the game when you create new chars, which are also separatly claimable on the site.
The actuall game account codes are the same for all editions, the only difference are the preorder bonuses, and the ingame bonuses for each edition.
the CE also gives you some things like a sound track a box and other shit that i find useless.
Hate to break it to you Dogma, but you are wrong. The game code *IS* the extra goodies code, ie. collectors edition game code = collectors edition ingame goodies. The pre-order code is simply that, and no different between editions. You've been conned.
Edit : I've bought the CE, and the only code I have is the pre-order one. The only other code I am expecting is the CE game code. There is *no* way someone has an 'item' code at this point in time, if there is one at all that is seperate from the game code.
Think you are the stupid one here , you only get to keep the ce stuff if you actualy get the retail CE box when its out otherwise your ce preorder items cannot be claimed at launch
ROFL at Dogma, but still did anyone expect the CE not to sell well!? They do for all MMOs cause they are a limited item, but there are always extra from people that try to resell them or part them out. Like I'm sure there are probably at least a few that are buying it just for the Darth Malgus statue for their collection and will sell the game separately.
I'm buying the CE for most the physical & digital extras, though I don't really care about the statue. Never was a collector of such, but I'm sure someone else will want it, thus I plan to sell mine on eBay right after I get it and recoup at least 50% of the CE's cost, if not more. Those Gentle Giant Statues are not cheap, and being a limited one, {at least for now} it'll probably sell quickly.
I foresee many ebay CE and statuette-only sales.

Also remember amazon is the only place you can get a CE, all the other pre orders and spread across other retailers.
I wonder how the list is calculated. It could be via the speed of sales or ratio of sales vs copies they have available.
If it is selling more actual copies than the standard edition that would be rare as for most things the top end enthusiast versions tend to sell less, the most money is usually made off of the affordable versions.
Oh my, that CE code he bought for $20.00, I wonder if he realizes that in order for the person he bought it from to NOT be charged the full amount for the game, he has to cancel his order before it is available for download or shipped from the retailer, and then the code goes *poof*. There goes his early access. There goes his bonus pre-order items. Disappears like a puff of smoke! LMFAO!!! Heck, they have probably already been canceled. HAAAAAAaaaaaa!
Good job having to paying $80.00 for what should have been your $60.00 game!
It just occured to me . . . At least the money I put down for the game comes out of the total cost for my game. His is added to it. Buahahahahahahaaaaaa!
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"
you say what?
150 dollar for a game and a poster?
not in 150 years LOL
The following statement is false
The previous statement is true
That would be the explanation then.
But, how is Deus Ex above it?

If you cancell you pre-order i think you still keep the early acsess code if its bound to your swtor account
I think a lot of people are just waiting to get into beta / a preview week-end etc. People who bought the CE know they wanted the game 100%. I am about 75% likely to buy it. . so I am waiting to see if anything changes that. Since the CE was limited. . there is no point in rushing out to buy the game now.
Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is!
Nope. It was already anounced that if you cancel, the code gets canceled and you loose everything! So basically, he spent $20.00 for absolutely NOTHING! The best part is he can't even claim he was frauded since he was given a code and applied it to the website! Meanwhile the $5.00 I spent on the pre-order gets applied to my full purchase when they ship my game.
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"
Well it will be worse if he used PayPal. . I found out the hard way that their "protection" on purchases does not include "virtual" items like in game store items / codes etc.

Ouch that sucks lol. i pre-ordered the digital deluxe version but i dont plan on canceling
Don't forget that the digital deluxe edition can only be bought from Origin. One of the reasons for the huge CE spike at Amazon (where I bought my CE) was because they had the early access codes right away. Registering your code had a direct impact on getting into the game earlier than others. Most of those Amazon CE sales wanted to make sure to get the codes registered the first day of pre-order.
Woohoo! Time to go and change my order from SE to CE!!!
Thank god I didn't use the code yet, unlike that other guy. lol.
