No, I just read so many useless threads on this site with people just purely bitching. Then this guy Joel comes on trying to pump up his game and everyone and I mean EVERYONE makes fun of him and $hits all over him.
It really sucks and I'm more than alittle ashamed of the people on these boards. MMORPG's are not exactly the hippest thing in the world, in fact they are downright nerdy. So you think people here would be a little more accepting seeing as we're all a bunch of nerdball video game players anyway. But no, they see weakness and they attack his game, his personality even calling him gay! The same as if it was a bunch of Nazi's picking on the only jew in the movie theatre. God am I the only one who sees how much that sucks?
I have the right to stand up for the underdog just as much as you have the right to bash him. And I'll stand up for anyone's right to post about the game they like and not have to be treated like a freak or a piece of crap. He's a human being!

OK so Joel is a serious fanboy- and maybe he doesn't conform to a "normality" that most of you slavishly conform to. But i like that, there needs to be more variety in the world.
And then like the sheep you are, you start attacking something that seems strange to you. The uneducated or just plain stupid always do this when they sense weakness.
By attacking Joel in manner you have, you have proved yourselves to be children, unable to think independently or laterally. It would have been far cleverer to attack Joel on his own terms.

stav1 you say we are like the bad kids from Lord of the Flies but you have to look deeper into this. Lets say Joel is Piggy and the rock that falls onto his head and kills him is the "There". People that support his unhealthy addiction to the a game are basically the ones dropping the rock on his head. The ones that try and break his addiction are the true friends the ones that point out the weakness so he can fix them before they cause seriouse damage.

Call me stupid, as you all prob will, but I couldn't figure out how to PM Joel so just responding here. Just want to tell him good job at sticking to his guns. I've tried There, not a big fan of it, but if he enjoys it then kudos to him for trying to share it. Personally this is why I rarely post on these forums, it seems like *alot* of ppl on here flame purely for the sake of flaming, but whatever. So anyway yeah, good job Joel hope you're still having fun, and good luck with your game (er.. virtual world)
