Black Prophecy: Upgrading the PvP Experience

Gamigo has announced that PvP will see some major improvements and an expansion of the feature with Black Prophecy: Episode 2: Species War. Species War is scheduled to go live in early September and bring warzones into the game. Groups of players will battle one another for control of the opposing team's outpost.
Init, opposing player factions will face off against one another in epic dogfights, each vying for control of an opponent's warzone outpost. Those victorious will reap such high rewards as major XP and the ability to trade their earnings for exclusive upgrade blueprints that can only be found in warzone hubs. As more outposts are won, the player's faction will earn greater individual and group powers, which will aid them in reaching the ultimate goal of total domination of the known universe.

So... do we get more than two ships yet?
I couldn't get into the game. I did the solo newbie experience, picked a race (I think I chose the Bio people), and then... the game dropped me and my ship off at the Mall and said "have fun!"
Well, I looked for fun, but couldn't find it. I went and PvP'd, and for every kill I got, I was smoked 6 to 10 times because the people I was fighting had vastly better equipment than me. Joy. Grind for equipment just to compete? Where have I done that before? Oh yes, that's right, EVERYWHERE. And ONE ship? Just one ship?
The poster said "2", but is that "one for each side"?
Im still waiting for the stable release... for now this game keeps crashing 3-4 time's per hour.
Still faction-based...

yes, one ship for each side. The ships appearance changes slightly when you add gear to it. The game is thin as an eggshell and there are quite a few bugs plaguing the game.
as for pvp, if it wasnt bad enough that the lore surrounding the Tyi makes them more appealing theyve also made their style of combat superior. Hopefully they can clean that up
Does this game have good open world PvP? Or is it all instanced?
Waiting for: Archeage, Darkfall 2.0, and Planetside 2.
