I'm happy for you after all the work you've put into organizing all the threads here as each gaming convention has hit.

Enjoy your time with the game, planning on playing something you aren't going to play at launch to keep things fresh?

Congrats to everyone else who've gotten their key.

    Have fun :)

Maybe because you never tried raiding before thats why it is awesome? :P You just had misconception of raiding xD

    anyways enjoy

Actually that wasn't a raid at all...

    Operations = raids

    Flashpoints = group dungeons.

So that aren't exactly the same thing.

    1. There have been EU folk in testing before though we are not sure if there are still any currently in testing.

    2. EU folk WILL be able to test in September at some point

    3. EU Guild Testing will begin at the same time EU testing begins.

    Stephen Reid tweet:

"Hey @MrWarlock_ EU folk will be playing in September, however large scale ramp will happen in US first, then EU close after. -S"

When will these testing weekends actually begin?

    When will EU Testing begin?

Will EU launch be simultaneous with US?

How long will us EU folk have to wait til we can begin Testing?

"Help us Stephen Reid, you're our only hope..."

Hello from the very loud GamesCom showfloor...

We know how much everyone in Europe is eager to test The Old Republic and while it's been a slow process to get to the starting line, we're really close.

Right now Game Testing is ongoing as it has been for quite a while. While some Europeans are in this program and are testing, there are more testers from other countries.

We will be adding more testers during September, including testers from Europe. This will increase the number of European testers by a considerable amount. As part of this increase, we're hoping to add a number of European Guilds.

Beta Testing Weekends in the EU will start after the US, but not much later. That's about all we can commit to right now.

Obviously, I've given you no dates or timeframes here, but as we get closer, we'll have more to say. September isn't that far away, after all.

as far as testing in the EU over all:

ChrisCollins General Discussion -> EU Testing - we need info!

Many of the questions that are being asked here have already been answered by Stephen, so there's not much more I can really provide.

One thing I will say is that there is a little confusion here that I want to get clarified. First off the invites going out to European players that Stephen mentioned are happening very soon (we're talking days here) and will be to our Game Testing program. This means that those invited will have continued access to the Test servers throughout the Game Testing stage of development. Those invited will play on test environments out in the US, so may experience some latency related issues from time to time. As long as those testers are aware of that and can work around it when needs be, we're excited to get feedback from a larger EU crowd.

In the future we’ll also be holding EU Testing where players will access our European Test servers specifically, this is what we refer to when we talk about EU Testing.

The Game Testing Weekends that have been mentioned are just that; they are weekends where invited players will only have access for a weekend.

I know it’s a little confusing, but I wanted to make sure that we’re all talking about the same things here.

Me too. I have been active on the SWTOR forums since 09, have pre-ordered two copies (so have two accounts), and have been in a guild since they launched the guild piece of the site and still nothing for me either. There is only a little bit of bitter when I point out the randomness of it all. I friend I recommended that signed up two weeks ago and has not pre-ordered got a full beta invite DAYS after he signed up on the site. He was pissed of when I told him his characters would be wiped after beta too.

Hehe, sorry but your misfortune is slightly amusing to me as a bystander. Probably they are much more concerned with testing the widest possible amount of system specs at this time than rewarding loyal followers. It is a beta afterall.

I wouldn't mind so much if I were you. Even if you never manage to get in before launch there are certain advantages: experiencing everything for the first time on a character which won't be wiped, to name an important thing. Personally I won't touch Swtor with a ten foot pole before it launches. I want the gaming experience to be a mystery until that time.

It's hardly a mystery if you keep searching on these forums and keep visiting their websites/feature videos.

Knowing about features and sneak peaking some quest dialogue and gameplay is something completely different than actually experiencing the game for yourself.

Like the difference between seeing a juicy cheeseburger and actually eating it.

I'm really not all that worked up about it. I have plenty to do without SWTOR. When you watch a game like SWTOR and GW2 for so and the finish line is getting closer and closer ya just get eager to play. Its all good and I will play when I play.

Don't mock DarkPony, he is always contributing and he cracks me up with his funny signatures ect.

Anyway On topic, I would really like a test application, just to test the graphical settings on my machine ( just like the one Final fantasy 14 released before their launch) Other than that I must say I'm really excited about the game and wouldn't mind a beta invite either. Giving feedback is getting a better game @ launch right? =)

edit: Benchmark was the word I was looking for ;x

Yeah true, yet. I'd like to play all classes just before it releases, so I know what I'll be playing, how they play. At this stage, I'm not going to empathize on the story. Just the more 'practical' stuff.

I got one too, not sure if it's real or not since I've been getting a handful of fake stuff lately and I have to be extra careful. Does the link involve dynect.net?

You should be able to go straight to the SWTOR.COM website to verify if you actually got invited.  Personally, I wouldn't trust anything but that.

You should know if it is real or not. Got mine a while ago.  Enjoy, provide the game-play feedback asked for.

    Happy Birthday gaou!

EDIT: Also, reminder to everyone else: If you're in the test the only thing you are allowed to say is that you are in the test. Please do not provide any impressions (positive or negative) based on your experiences or accounts of other testers' experiences. This includes media and any game material. Thanks!

All I'm going to say is that it's fairly demanding on hardware so when the game goes live, be sure you have decent specs on your PC. It's not like WoW that runs on 10+ year old computers.
