Trying Some New MMORPGs

Okay, so I'm going to be trying some new MMORPGs. If you have an opinion aboiut any of them, I'd be happy to hear them! I'm going to be trying out DDO, Dragon Nest, and RoM.

I've already had a post on here about DDO. I find it a little too complex for me to play right now (I like it, I'm just not able to comprehend much of the stuff). This is why I'm going to be trying out both Dragon Nest and RoM as well. So, if anyone can point me in the direction to a good DDO guide, I'll read up and study that game while I try the other two out.

I hear Dragon Nest  is in open beta? I've never done an open beta before, so I guess I'll figure out what that is like.

I'm excited to find an MMORPG that I'll really enjoy. I still consider myself a newbie to MMORPGs even though I've played a couple. I only extensively played one (TricsterOnline), but quit playing when I got a new computer, and it didn't work right on it. I played FLYFF for a little while when my girlfriend introduced it to me, but we quit playing that one as well.

So, any opinions on the above three games are welcomed! Thank you!

Have played all 3 at one point or another. My personal outlook?

DDO: It's interesting enough. honestly can't tell you how the community is now...I mean numbers-wise anyways. But people were friendly and helpful enough when I did play. The dungeons are fun enough..having boobytraps and all.

Dragon Nest: Onyl ben playing this about a week myself. It is fast paced action, and fun I suppose. But it is more single player RPG than an MMO. Rarely do people want to seem to group..probably because it is pretty easy and has virtua;;y no death penalty.

RoM: It is a lot like WoW. But it is HEAVILY pay to win. Much like Allods Online. (Allods Online is fun. I'd personally recommend it. But as I said...eventually it is pretty much pay to win too at higher lvls)

But...that is just some info for ya. Each person is different, and you may enjoy them more than I did. GL and happy hunting!

I like DDO, but alot of content is restricted until you pay for it. Good game, but I didn't enjoy running the same instance over and over. Getting a group became a little to difficult after a certain point as well.

Dragons Nest felt to me, like a watered down Vindictus. There are alot of people playing it, but it's kind of an easy game, so most people end up soloing most missions even on master/abyss. The looking for group function isn't the greatest either. If you haven't played it already, I would sooner recommend Vindictus over DN.

City of heroes will be going free to play within the next month or so I believe, keep an eye out for that, it's a very fun game.

Play DDO with 5 friends and Dragon Nest with 1-3 friends to the get best out of them. Be ready to pay for something in DDO. Have fun!

EDIT: Oh and don't let veterans ruin your game in DDO. There is such thing as spoilers in that game. Especially regarding traps.

Yeah, I've started playing DN. As of right now, it seems alright. But, I'm thinking I'm going to have to try Vindictus because a couple of people have recommended it now. Thanks for everyone's input!!

the three are f2p with cash shops. I wouldnt touch them with a ten foot pole. in the case of RoM not even with a ten thousand foot pole.
