Highest Pop Server?

TalintTalint Member UncommonPosts: 168

Hello MMORPG community,

So I just unsubscribed from Aion from my bi-yearly subscription.  I gennerally try the game twice a year to see if I can stick with it.  So far, playing since launch, I haven't been able too..  Aside from that I've played every other "main-stream" MMO out there on the market and while I can never go back to the glory days of WoW, I have been looking around for a new MMO.

I decided to play LOTRO.  I actually haven't played it since Beta many moons ago.  My computer when I was in beta sucked and it could barley run it.  I played the trial a bit after that when I got my new computer and for whatever reason I quit.  I do remember liking it, but I think since there was no one to play with I quit.

So my quesiton is, what is the highest pop. server?  I see many different servers on here and I don't know which to pick from.  I plan on going all out on this game so I'd like to find a server with a nice big community.

Thanks all who answer,

Talint

Gladden has a good community.   Probably not the largest server, I think Landroval or Brandywine are, but Gladden has a good solid community and always groups / instances / raids / etc of all levels going on.

Elendirlmil (however you spell it) is the de facto oceanic server if that's what you are after.  It's quite populated too although when new games come out the pop drop is noticeable (eg with RIFT).

I believe Brandywine is the highest pop server.  Landroval is very busy as well.  Both of those always have plenty of people playing.

+1 for truthiness. Landroval or Brandywine.

    Brandywine.

Landroval has the highest role play population. And quite frankly there is something to be said about that as I find that role players add depth to the community.

    er, for the most part.

I think Brandy is highest but it does not have much of a fun community. I chose to leave there because of the community. I changed to Landrovel and I love the community there and have done more stuff with my new kin then i did in 6 months brandy.

Brandywine has the largest population, hands down.   Landroval is the de facto NA role-playing server.  Elendillmir has a lot of NZ/Aus players and probably the most serious pvp'ers.

Agree 100% with Bradywine being the highest... also one of the least social.  I'm sure that's just from people grouping with their kinship and not needing to find a PUG.

Full disclosure... Brandywine is my 2nd server and I mostly solo there with my 2 characters not in a kin.  The largest bonus of the high pop. being the very low prices on the auction.

Gladden FTW! Great server. Wonderful server. Nice and quiet. That is to say, the players are quiet.

Landroval is the only server I ever played. It's populated but not over populated. Its no trouble to find players and they can be avoided at the same time. Because LotRO is mature and has years of content the need to fellowship has declined and you see it in the game now. Very few PUG fellowship requests now in LFF channel for anything but deed instance requests. Angmar has faded away in favor of the solo friendly Forachel. You won't see things different in terms of getting LFF but you wont need to now.

Yes Brandywine is and for good reason it was the first server. Arwen would have had that honor but when the game went to closed beta Arwen the Alpha server was set to internal only .

No its from you not knowing where to go for a PUG. Brandywine being the oldest and most highly populated of all the servers has a community created chat channel we use for PUG's as well as most of the global socialization.

Dude you could randomly pick any server and it will be well populated.

I have characters on five servers all different level ranges and Cities are active, zones are busy and I can group up when i want.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing
