Again? How many threads do we need on this subject? They said when it's done.
As many topics it takes until developers stop advertising games 5 YEARS BEFORE IT'S RELEASED....And still who knows !
Anet did not have the luxery to wait with announcing it until 1-2 years before release. They needed to give their fans a reason why they were no longer developing content for GW1.

They had to give a reason why they stopped releasing new chapters for GW1. They had planned more chapters for GW1 originally.
NExt to that.... they weren't advertising it for payers since they started showing it off about one and a half year ago.... they probably needed the possitive press for getting more investors interested in their project.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
Like all other companies Anet wants alot of hype around their upcoming products. I understand this, and i very much enjoy the slow dropping of information. The game will be released when it's released, and i will play it when i comes out. Find something better to do then making threads that has no meaning at all.
My son. The day you were born the very staff of Blizzard whispered the name, profit.

e.g. utopia. im much more happy having to wait for this epic tale of a game to come out than playing new expansions on Guild Wars 1
