Hey,

 

For all those that have been on the edge with Rift or wanting to try it, you can now play it free for one week without any restrictions.

It’s time to party! From August 25 to August 31, subscribers receive amazing in-game bonuses—for both PvP and PvE—and a special gift, while new and returning Ascended can play for free with access to all levels and zones. Contests and prizes await as we commemorate six months in Telara.

    Saw this on another site about a week ago and was surprised it wasn't being talked about here. Personally I don't like Rift but it's a good thing for them to do, City of Heroes does something similar every so often and usually ends up with a few inactive accounts resubscribing again.

    Encountering problems trying to get on an old trial. It says I'm not authorized to play the game, and shuts it down when I try to log in, though supposedly all trial accounts are reactivated for the week?

    From what i can gather (assuming you are from the US) the US version of it starts at 10am PST, so another 2 hours give or take.

    Yeah, I am kinda of surprised that this has not been mentioned more myself.

    I guess we will talk about some f2p-freemium-sort of model within 8-12 month.

    There is no way this game will survive with it's current total lack of population in the EU. It may do well in NA, but EU is dead.

    RIFT do this sort of discounting every other week.

    It isn't a good thing for the game or the community.

    It is a great marketing move, hopefully they stay afloat for a while, an MMO that released with such polish deserves to be at least amongst the top in subscription #'s

    maybe only on german servers lol, because I play on 2 english servers wich are always packed with people and LFG doesnt take more than 5 minutes to call me.

     

    But ofc, theres no sense in having german servers in any game in my opinion since you guys only play wow either way...
