in Final Fantasy XI

lol sorry about the topic name. it makes no since but  i couldnt think of anything else. i just had a few questions about the game like is there a free trial thing? also are there gametime cards i can buy (currently paying for 4 MMO's and my mom wont let me add another to her credit card lol)also which server has the highest pop? is combat like any of the other FF games but with other people?is there a mining profession?would 512 RAM be enough to play the game to its fullest capabilitys without lagging and bouncing around. would a geforce MX 128 mb vid. card be enough to run the game at its highest settings. and finally i play WoW and i think they lie on the box. it says miles of forest and deserts and blah blah blah but theres really not lol. how large is the game on a scale 1-10( give a little detail please) and finally how many different monster types are there? lots? or just like 100 that all look the same. well thanks for readin this. and please respond lol just a little  bit will help. thank ya kindly

    The game is $20. Once you buy it your first 30 days are free, then the subscription fee kicks in.

    You may be out of luck, then. There are no gametime cards, you *must* have a Visa or Mastercard to play.

    I've heard Odin mentioned. Square restricts your free choice of server with a Worldpass system and on top of that there was just an emigration where players on crowded servers were allowed to transfer their characters to less populated systems. As a result, the servers are pretty balanced; there isn't a large variation in population.

    Not really; it's more real-time.

    No, but there is mining.

    Sounds OK to me. Square provides a free benchmark program on the PlayOnline website; download that and see how your box does.

    7 or 8, I think. It's larger than WoW, IMHO.

    There are fair amount of monster types, but all the monsters of a given type look identical, which I'll admit is a little disappointing.
