Everything went down about 15 mins ago. I was ingame trying to get  missin from a terminal and none were showing up, couple mins later got a Connection Lost to SWG message.

If everything went down, this cant be good.

Do they have all their games and websites at the same location? I guess so, although not the planetside game it would seem.

    Power outage verified.

Why would a company this big not have power generators for the game servers? I mean my local food store has back up power I do realize this would take more power, but I also understand we are talking about sony I mean they crap money.

From the reports ive read, seems like a massive outage. I doubt we will see SOE back up tonight.

I bet the servers are running on power until they can be shutdown as a good data center would have.  All the connections in the area are dead, I get this at work when power goes out and people come to me and say if the servers are up on battery why cant I get to the internet.   Because the local services are down too.

ok damn i was hoping that it would be fixed quite fast but i guess it might not well i mean theres life outside of playing mmos right?...RIGHT?????

Wow this is great, so today SOE went down for everyone? LOL the day I gave a random dude my gear to transfer it for me! Nice one SOE I should of never even restarted my computer. Should of known SOE had something to do with it, so anyone got a estimated down time for this?

Might not be that straightforward.  Perhaps their data center is N+1 but their peering partner in the same county is down..who knows.

I used to be a huge supporter of SOE and i still have confidence in them, however they really make it hard for one to keep saying SOE FTW.

I played FFXI since launch and i have not had one single issue with servers or playing or glitchs and that is a lot of years of gaming.Since my first day in EQ2 i saw tons of problems, glitch's and an incredible amount of server down time.Fast forward several years and FFXI still rolls along smoothly, albeit i don't like the game anymore.EQ2 the servers are down every week if not 2-3 times, quests still broken, glitch's albeit not as bad as the launch days,it just gives the impression of a non preofessional outfit, sort of what i expect from F2p gaming.
