I didnt finish reading evecrything but I was hoping this game would be good but i got into what they called beta and...you know the rest. Im not going to bash the game but im going to say only one thing. The players (the people that pay) should just toss the game out the window it will not change EVER. Its basicly still the same it was in beta gameplay wise TO ME. The player base should stop paying altogether and save their money for something else or get MO to do what FX### did, yes mo does not have money (or staff) just let the game go its sad its hard but thats how i feel and thats my opinion of the game and what the players should do but it is their money.

I play games just like you

We've already established, due to simple errors in counting, that it hasn't been three weeks.  What's more, he's been back for a couple of days already.

    What a non-issue.

Interesting, not a word on why he was gone for 3 weeks without notice. Guess he thinks players will be so busy jizzing in their pants over the latest hype-video that they'll forget how unprofessional that was.

Man I have stopped wondering why the bots let stuff slide liek they do over there.  I agree it is really unpro.  The CM and person incharge of bugs not posting for 20 days and then not giving a reason is unthinkable.

@rohn ; I do not know what calculator your universe is from, from his last post to the most recent was 20 days.   I am really not taking funkmasters word that he got a pm from him.  He also said the failed bug was fixed.  We all know the anser to that one.

Nearly a month is not what I would describe as "a bit" and is completely unacceptable when the company is charging a monthly fee and box purchase for it's product.

How many steps in the wrong direction does SV have to take before people will wake up and smell the roses? I guess that old saying about a sucker being born every minute rings quite true, some people will pay for anything regardless of the quality of the product itself.

I know right.....  It is totally normal to take 20 days off of work and not tell the people you are supposed ton interact with what happened.

I thought the reason was announced... in fact, I'm pretty sure it was because I remember people bitching about the reason.

Edit to guy above pockets:  of Mortal Online's subscribers, not a single one of them is paying money so they can be community-managed by Black Opal.  Whoever told you otherwise was... well, I guess I don't know what can cause that sorta failure of understanding.

And some people will whine about anything as well.... Not a perfect scenario but litle harm done for people playing and enjoying the game rather than worrying about how much forumn hugging they can do.

SV is trying in many ways but not having them exist at all would be more detrimental with respect to the bigger picture.

Did you personally PM the 300 subscribers?   If not, how can you possibly know this?  I assume he has relatives... friends...

Whether you paid to be managed by Opal is completely irrelevant, I think you may have missed my point.

It could have been any member of the SV Staff, volunteer or paid employee regardless. Every single one of Mortal Online's subscribers, including you, just paid SV to give the Community Manager a nearly one month vacation from work.

Apparently, as a customer you mean so little to SV that they don't even care about ensuring there is an open line of communication between the community and team. All they had do was apoint a temporary replacement while he was gone, instead they chose to give you, and every single one, of MOs subscribers excuses about him not being able to get online and then left you in the dark. Can you really not see a big red flag here?

If the game was a wildly thriving success, then maybe I could see justification for this type of move, but we all know that certainly isn't the case. The game and the company itself are struggling worse than ever (rumors of imminent sale, stock at an all time low, dishearted long time players leaving, investors jumping ship, etc...) and chose to make this move regardless of that fact.

You consider that to be acceptable?

What products do you own manufactured by companies that don't give employees days off?

I own many products manufactured by companies that give employees days off.

However, I don't own a single product where the manufacturer and there product were floundering, but chose to ignore that fact and allow staff members to take vacation time when they needed those employees the most.

What if you went to the theater and paid ten dollars to see a film, bought your snacks, etc... Then, right before the film is scheduled to begin, the manager decides to give the projectionist (the only one they have) the rest of the day off. You would be fine with that?

Hardly on the same level. It's more like they gave the guy who answers the phone to tell what the movie times are the day off and let the answering machine handle it. Annoying but not crippling. I know it's complete heresie but forums aren't in any way necessary to the functioning of a game.

Except in this case the forum CM is the only person asigned to handle bugs. With the current house problem it is VERY necessary to the functioning of a game.

Goodness, I really shouldn't have to elaborate further, yet I digress.

Allow me to make this as simple as possible:

    - The game is bug ridden.

    - SV remove the tracker.

    - Existing Subscribers express there discontent for the removal of the tracker.

    - SV tells Opal to be the new go-to guy for bug reports.

    - Opal tells the community that he is the new go-to guy for bug reports.

    - SV gives Opal a month off.

Hopefully that should be clear enough. My point is made, I'm trying to help people here, not harm anyone. If people want to throw away money be my guest.

But when the next unfinished, lackluster, buggy and broken game comes our way please take the time to remember that ignorance is not bliss and has a direct hand in ensuring that shady companies like SV continue to try and bilk honest, hard working men and women out of there cash.

They are when SV purposely removed the bug tracker and then decided that the guy they told everyone to PM bugs to should have a vacation.

Then he should have been fired and replaced by someone with the equipment to do the job. They could have just given a 12 year old kid an allowance to get on the library computer.

I think I would of used  the "went on vaction" excuse instead of the "internet issues"..   Does he live on the moon??  I can walk down the block and pass 3 free wifi connections.
