We're getting close to 2012 now, and I can't seem to find anything new on this.
Anyone out there have some new information on this?
Maybe someone at MMORPG.com could follow up with CCP. I would be bummed if this project got canned or something.
Comments
Here what I know for right now and what has been told to me:
1. Being developed in the Atlanta office. (cant confirm)
2. Vampires only at this point. Hunters, werewolves, and Mages to follow later. (cant confirm)
3. Based on the Old World of Darkness.
I wouldnt blame them for not releasing information as too many ppl out there will quiclkly critizise anything and then makeup falsehoods or imagined mechanics or gameplay w/o actual facts making seem like what they say is accurate.
I believe CCP has alot more to deal with after the imagined play to win nex store too many players thought was going to happen than to put out info on WOD. Until someone can get an interview with the lead designer of WOD we will sadly be in the Dark.
All my opinions are just that..opinions. If you like my opinions..coolness.If you dont like my opinion....I really dont care.
Playing: ESO, WOT, Smite, and Marvel Heroes
So I guess you could say that this game is "Shrouded in a World of Darkness"...wah waah
Hehe, but yeah it is strange it is laying low under the radar, but personally I see it as a plus. Why spoil all the new and exciting things by over-reading, over-watching, and over-hyping a new game!

As far as I know CCP hasn't released any official information to the public other than those few vague concept arts, even the trailer and information given at Grand Masquerade convention have been made available to us by the attendees present rather then by CCP through their official channels.
We were essentially told a few months ago to expect no more information on WoD until the Grand Masquerade. Which is, mercifully, now only two weeks away.
At this stage, I suspect we'll see a short trailer of in-game footage and some talk about the design philosophy. At the next CCP Fanfest, I'd expect more details on what Carbon enables in WoD, and I think the big reveals will be saved for the Grand Masquerade of 2012. Playable demo at GM2013 and release that winter.
That's what the voices tell me, anyway.
nothing's goin on. CCP continues to ruin EVE, has nothing to show for it.
I'm a little more optimistic in that I'm hoping they are far enough along that we'll see a beta mid to early/late 2012 with a launch holiday season 2012 or 1st/2nd quarter 2013.
I say this because as of September 2010 they have already put 629,000 man-hours into the game. That's 26, 208 days worth of work!
Hopefully we'll get a better sense of where CCP believes it is at with respect to "how close to done" they are for launch at the upcoming Grand Masquerade. Though I'm not happy with the item mall talk, this is the only MMO that I can say that I'm actually "looking forward" to in any "fan-like" capacity.
"Many nights, my friend... Many nights I've put a blade to your throat while you were sleeping. Glad I never killed you, Steve. You're alright..."

Item mall talk turned me off it also. I'm done with games that double-dip by requiring subs plus having an item mall.
-Letting Derek Smart work on your game is like letting Osama bin Laden work in the White House. Something will burn.-
-And on the 8th day, man created God.-
I hope they actually release some official information at this year's Grand Masquerade unlike with the previous one where everything available was provided by the fans who were there.
I am very sceptical. Why ?
Because of how far (or should i say not far) have they managed to get with Eve Incarna (walking in stations)
Its the same engine , but much smaller scope and simpler.
And honestly , all they managed is to make stiff avatar walk. In a room, alone.
Doesnt give much hope to me
I see your point. But we also have to point out that that new code was lumped in on top of the years and years and years of existing Eve code. I would expect issues.
Building a new game with it from the ground up may prove a better result. We'll have to wait and see.

1. It is in Stone mountain, Georgia at White wolfs headquarters.
2. Yeah, they were originally planning to have mages, vampires and werewolfs from start but it was just too much so they start with vampires and others will follow (if the game sells well of course).
3. Mainly based on old WoD but with some things from the new is what I heard.
The Grand Masquerade is next week so hopefully we'll get some details then
It is disappointing to me (if the rumors are true) that werewolves aren't playable at launch. It means I wouldn't think about getting the game until Werewolves are introduced.
