Review of Maplestory

Here is a review of the online game Maple Story
made by a company called Wizet. Their website
is located at http://www.mapleglobal.com/
The graphics on the game are really well designed
and look really nice. And the sound is really good
on the game as well.
The sounds even get a bit tedious after a while
of listening to the same music over and over
as you go from area to area eventually you
you don't even notice when it does change.
The music almost wants to make you fall asleep in
your chair.
But other then that the game is pretty
poorly run. Kill Stealing is rampant on this game
and the admins do nothing about it. Kill stealing is
where you are fighting a monster and another person
comes up and starts attacking and killing that monster
after you have already engaged that mob. This is
not allowed but the admins don't do anything to stop
it. Also theft of items that are say accidentally dropped
on the ground are quite common and if you ask for them back
again you get some youngster who swears at you and runs
away with your equipment.
There are frequent outages with Maplestory so don't
get too into the game because you will try and connect
one day and find that you won't be able to.
The translation of the storyline is quite horrible
and usually do have some variations in the storyline
as you progress along. All you do in Maplestory is
run around and talk to Non Player Characters (NPCs)
and they will ask you to deliver something to them.
There really isn't any kind of linear storyline to
this game at all.
People repeatly spam the chat channels on the game
and again nothing is gone by the game masters to
stop it. They only allow you to report one abuser a
day. I could see not allowing some one to report the
same abuser in a day but only allowing one abuse report
a day is just stupid. If you run across some one harassing
you or kill stealing and it is the 2nd person you have
run into that is doing that in a day and you can't
report them.
Overall this game is poorly administrated and run
they have a good concept and nice graphics which is
the only good thing about this game.
Overall just avoid this game and all the headaches it causes.
They have basically taken a really good
concept for a game and ruined it by thier lack of ability to control the ingame play.
Abuse is way too rampant along with cheaters who ruin the game for everyone.

The game may look nice but once you get into the game
you will find that it is pure hell and the game masters really don't seem to care
what happens in game. I can't see this game ever surviving as a pay game.
People will quickly get sick of the abuse like myself and leave and never come back.
This game is a COMPLETE waste of time.

Dude u don't get the point of the game at all!!!!!!!!
NPC's are shop's were u buy and sell things.
Admin's are actually called GM's. (And there is only like 7 or 8 GM's)
And "outages" are actually called Sever Checks.
I don't even think u reviewed the game.
And also...There are like mroe then 100 thousand ppl playing this game.
Right at this moment.
And also...GM's do care u just that the person doing something rong has to be reported 10 times...
I don`t know about that... I really hate this game because GM`s dont really care about the people who play the game. That`s probably explained since they`re not getting payed (I think). Still, the graphics are decent but boy, does it get repeditive after a while. Not only that but the game is filled with kidies ranging from 8-10... Ugh, so annoying. All they do is ks like mad just cause they`re higher lvl then me. Because of these problems, i am not very fond of this game. I guess that`s what you should expect from a game with not monthly fee... Yes, fustrated GM`s and kiddies.
I get the point of the game and the game is an utter waste of time.
The game is basically out of control Wizet has lost all control of ingame play.
And the GMs really don't care what happenes. People steal stuff if it is accidently
dropped and looting and Killstealing are rampant in this game.
And they are having game other isses as well and it is NOT a server check they are currently having isuses with the login server and infact this issue is STILL ongoing.

These outages and inability to connect seem to be frequent.
The Maplestory Staff have lost all control anyways of what happens ingame and looting, theft and congames and cheating are common place ingame.
And if they need mroe GMs then find volunteers to help police the game a bit better there are a lot of people out there who would be willing to help.
And when a name like DoucheKiller this is probly just some 13 year old punk who is part of the problem of this game and is one of the ones ruining the game for everyone. Go back to bed kid and keep off of MapleStory and the internet. I reviewed the game and It is an utter waste of bandwidth and time.
Basically it comes down to where the Maplestory staff either have to get control of their server or pull the plug on this game.
I stand by my review and it is accurate and correct.
