Maplestory is the most popular F2P MMORPG but F2P and no grinding whatsoever is unlikely in any manner. My personal favorite F2P MMORPG is Vindictus but some people don't like it cause it's not open world, like open world ever added anything to a game but time waster to get to the quest objective.
You could also try LOTRO or AOC.
On this site, under released on the hype meter thingeh it clearly shows Altlantica as one of the best.
I have played it for some time, not so much anymore, as with the F2P tag comes with the endgame P2W tag.
until level 120 though, no money needed. max level 140 i think. give it a shot, tons of content.
Also it's turn based, and kinda a strategy mmo in PVP, as the build of your party determines everything.
The Deep Web is sca-ry.
50000+ active players may be difficult to really verify since F2P games will usually only give numbers on accounts, whether they still log in or not. LoTRO, DDO, AoC probably all reach those 50K+ players.
Waiting for Guild Wars 2, and maybe SWTOR until that time...
Hello,
Runes of Magic and Perfect World has large population in game. Both games have lots of quests.
lotro and D&D online both seem to fit your criteria
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed.

Most popular AAA is probably EQ2extended.One of my faves was ROM but you can't fully enjoy that game without item mall use as is the case with all f2p games.Al lthese other f2p games are not AAA titles except AOC,but when i last played that game,it was as dead as Vanguard with very few players.
Maplestory and all those other cartoon cheap looking games are imo not even worthy of a AA rating, single A more like it.ROM would be the AA rating, and a couple games by AION are decent AA f2p games as well.I astill feel Silkroad is still one of the best AA titles also,it doesn't have many gimmicks outside of item mall but combat/thief design is pretty good.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
