To answer if it's worth it well theres a trial out that should give you a feel for the game. As for the rewards in the Guild Wars expansion Eye of the North you get the hall of monuments which essentially are achievements which add up to points depending on the amount of points you get rewards e.g. 20 points is a rainbow jellyfish pet or 10 points is a fiery dragon sword.
Im sure u can check out the rewards in the guild wars wiki site if your interested

GW is not about lvls. It's a game about collecting skills, doing missions and earning different kind of achievements (titles, ranks, etc).

GW isn't about levels. Its actually more of a level-less MMO as you can get the max level in <5 hours (without help, skipping quests or missions, getting a run, paying anybody, taking a shortcut or anything of that nature). Players who play for the grind have the option to grind the titles that are in the game (have fun getting legendary vanquisher). Players who don't like grind can play the story (its pretty good). Players who like PvP should try out the PvP arenas. The game isn't boring unless you don't like the parts of the game that are meant to keep people from being bored in game.
edit: ninja'd. wow.
I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote.
Well technically Eye of the North was the only expansion. The other two(Factions, Nightfall) were campaigns that each added a whole new storyline an extra two classes more skills more areas etc. the expansion adds dungeons into the mix along with skills and areas..and the hall of monuments which if you want to get rewards for GW2 your gonna need the 1st campaign and the expansion. The rest technically arent necessary but if your gonna be determined to get rewards then you pretty much need to get them.
Okay thanks guys I have created a new thread on GW section more about GW1 since I did not want to spam this out but thanks also for the info about GW2 stuff.

I like GW 1. I'm not a hardcore over the top fan of GW 1 but I am a fan of ANet and their products. In GW you can level cap relatively fast, but don't let that throw you off, level 20 is really where the game begins. The ability to find "Elite" skills and choose from hundreds and hundreds of spells and abilities is epic. You can make so many different builds and save them for easy later use. I'd say try a demo and see what you think. Don't let the limitations of GW 1 sway you from GW 2. They are totally different in almost every way. The lore is the same, but as you can tell from any videos or dev posts, GW 2 is a totally new concept on how to present their game to their customers. The story line is filled with cutscenes as well. It's pretty easy to follow. The PvP is also pretty attractive to a lot of players. It wasn't to me because I'm not a huge fan of PvP. Mainly because if I PvP, it's usually with an assault rifle and some grenades. FPS's fill my need for PvP. I don't think you'd get bored of GW 1 right away but I'm sure you would eventually because if you're like most humans, things tend to get old. Believe it or not, but someday GW 2 will be outdated. Get the demo. I'd say get a Nightfall demo if possible because they introduced Hero Henchman in that xpac and it's always better to be able to equip and change your companion skills and weapons yourself. Anyways, hope I helped and didn't just talk to myself.
