Dark Age of Camelot: Battleground Merchants Incoming

Dark Age of Camelot's Kai Schroeber has penned a new article on the official site that details some of the upcoming changes with the v1.110 patch.

One of the biggest additions to DAoC is the addition of Bounty Merchants within the Battlegrounds. Quest givers were added recently that allow players to earn Bounty within the Battlegrounds. With the addition of merchants in the same area, the circle is complete.

Schroeber writes, "The items offered by the Bounty Merchants are pre-templated and when the full set is equipped it will grant the player an almost perfect template, nearly capping the character’s attributes, skills, resistances, and so on."

Also being added in the patch will be Battleground Teleporters to give players a lift from the quest hub to the Battleground that suits their particular level.

Lastly, Schroeber writes about new Epic Quest lines that will be offered in the Battleground quest hub.

All in all, it's a very informative article about big changes coming to an old favorite. Read it all on the Dark Age of Camelot site.

After all these years and still the best. Too bad it couldn't be updated with a nice 2011 type make over with a updated UI and graphics to go with unmatched RvR.

My thoughts exactly.. I'd so LOVE for a DAoC2. They don't even need to really add anything, just update the UI and Grafx, get rid of ToA and relaunch.

These sound like good changes overall and I'm glad to hear aurulite is going away, the prospect of getting a temped BG char just through playing sounds good.

Not sure how the tradeskillers will feel about this, though.

I agree with the sentiment here...I would settle for the grafix engine be upgraded and a newer UI..

There is soo much to this game you can tell people really pour their passion into making this game.

Back in I bought the game the community was top rated everyone was extremely nice

Now that you remind me of it:

    Yes, please. I hated that.

Let me point out that, in fact, I couldn't care less about these first world problems. I'm just having fun.
