Do you get Arena points for losing a Rated BG?

Just a simple question....clueless on how this Rated BG works now.

If you lose a rated BG you get nothing. In fact you LOSE rating, which has the consequence of reducing the amount of conquest points you can earn for the next week. So you are really losing points unless your team can play better the next few games to increase their ladder standing.
Rated BGs for that reason are incredibly competitive and the level of play is a million times more intense than your random BGs which have always been hit-and-miss in terms of game quality.
