Hey. I'm looking for a game where you can play solo most of time mainly killing mobs. Very high or no level limit. Something like Kal Online or Silkroad. Any sugestions?
Runescape is and continues to be the ultimate grindfest. If you don't like combat, you can level over a dozen crafting skills to level 99. As far as I'm aware, at most only a few thousand people have reached the max level. It can also easily be done solo. I speak from about 7 years of off-and-on experience.
Shaiya on ultimate mode. You'll need to get a hard mode character to 40 to unlock UM.
I don't know how many, but I bet there's only a handful of UM characters that made it to level cap.
Ken Fisher - Semi retired old fart Network Administrator, now working in Network Security. I don't Forum PVP. If you feel I've attacked you, it was probably by accident. When I don't understand, I ask. Such is not intended as criticism.
I am as well looking for a Grind fest. I need something to occupy my time and something fun. I miss old days of DAOC before expansions where 40-50 was just roffle.
Asian MMO nuff said. I know it might sound like a stereotype but it's true.
Also, anything with cash shop pretty much. EIther you pay 2 win or you grind the crap out of it!
As soon as I read grind fest I thought Asian MMO's too.
OP, I would point you toward Perfect World. Foresaken World, Runes of Magic, and perhaps Alloids. They are all in the F2P category with cash shops so you could give them all a try to see which one (or one's) you like best.
dont listen to that guy l2 is a very grindy but lovely game. give it a try
I'm sorry to say but I am serious. Thats one of the reasons I stopped playing, it's too much like WOW now. It happened with the last couple updates (since the new dev team took over). They added events and new mechanics that give you 15x exp. Now everyone just hides in town at max level with 100% exp talking smack about who has better pvp scripts for automated gameplay... honestly it's pathetic.
I can make a character 1-40 (with both class change quests done) in less than 3 hours. 40-75 in 3 days. class change at 76 in 2 hours. 76 - 85 in 3 days.
I call BS on this.
I've recently returned to L2 myself. While they have alleviated the grind, it's still there. 1-40 can be done in about a week. From 40-70 it's mid paced. From 70 and on it gets a lot slower. Linage 2 is only worth the grind since there's PvP at the end. But if just grinding is what you're looking for you'd probably enjoy L2. Any asian MMO would do really. They're all primarily grind based.

I'm sorry but your doing it wrong. 1-20 can be done in 2 buff rounds (30 mins) by doing the newbie quests. Then you do 5 raid bosses (talking island (20), lizard (21), 26 raid boss out of dion (forget his name), lizard raid boss outside of forgotton temple(26), raid boss inside forgotten temple(28). This puts you at 34. Grab a box, go solo the 36 palaka, log the box out before it dies. This puts you at 36. Then do class change quests (each one gives you 1 level up). Then do the 38 pailaka (takes about 40 mins).
Sorry it's just under six hours not 3 but it's still atrocious. So here is the breakdown.
newbie quests Quests 1-20 = 15 mins
!st class change quest = 15 mins
each raid boss (30 mins) = 1.50 hour
36 and 38 pailaka = 1.10 hours
class change quest x3 (45 mins each) = 2.15 hours
sum of 5.45 hours (my record is 5.37, I leveled 30 treasure hunters to place around the map as spies, and acadamy points made my clan level 7 before less points were needed, and did so by myself). Sorry friend but not a week or you are doing it wrong.
So what? You know how to powerlevel to 40, but those times are still a bit off. Even so, what you said about 40 onwards is still full of crap.
Try Entropia Universe, I have been playing it for 3+ years and have just recently hit lvl 40 and 150k total skills. Grinding hard you could match me in 6-12 months but im a socaial player.
There is no cap, so you can go as high as you want. The top players are over lvl 100 in several professions and 300k+ total skills.
You will love it or hate it, this game is unlike any other on the market, but I love it.
Tried Aion? Not so much a HUGE grind now, But still A good grind to max lvl. Pretty too.
He speaks the truth. Aion is, for some reason, very fun for grinding. I think it's the combat and the combo moves. Looks amazing too. I would quest till 25, then you can grind on mobs in the abyss to your hearts content.

Darkfall or L2 (I think) spring to mind.
