Hell, if I wanted to go by your standards, I could say that all 20,30+ yearolds are asses, because I experienced a few bad eggs.
I know that some people get annoying with multiple requests about stuff, but instead of blowing your top, why not just tell them that begging will get them no where, and ask that they send an LFG if they need help with quests.
Or if they need help with money, tell them to take up skinning, and tell them to hunt skinnable mobs.

WOW really started going down hill a while back when a lot of people started to cap out at 60.
I started to see begging for money and items, Lost of gold farming and people who get mad because you did not want to help in a quest.
I was in a great guild, least till one of the guildies decided badmouthing someone I cared about was fun. So I left WOW. In the game I am in now ... no begging.... no camping and no one being a pest because I did not have time to assist them.
I disagree with the whole "immature" aspect of the game community. While there are the few cases, I do not think this game has any more or less "immature" people playin it than any other MMO.
Rude, unfriendly, dishonorable and just plain evil, however, is something I come across alot.
People jump straight into the personal attacks, "your an idiot" or "you need to get a girlfriend", are examples of what to expect whenever they don't like what they hear. People put very little thought into the things they say. Recently when I see people like that talking, I lose my temper with them now which is sad cause even though I direct my fustration to those who I feel deserve it, I can hardly say it makes me better than them.
If one can master a few key words in WOW then without doubt they will enjoy the fruits of its community. These key words include, "WTF", "Gay", "Yo", "Suck" and the most effective of course is the word "Free". This particular word will even attract the most immature and hardened self-centered types at the prospect of recieving something for absolutely nothing, take care.
