I'm just saying this to everyone who ask this question:
Don't expect to get into Beta. That way, when you don't get in, you won't be dissappointed. And if you do get in, you will appreciate it even more.
But my advice, if you don't already, is to check out the www.darkandlight.net forums. Get to know the community (it's great btw) and just look forward to when the game is finally released.

Yeah, ive been waiting a while myself.. I play on a satellite connection right now ( it sucks) but most games (SWG, EVE, GW) fare alright on it.. just wondering what DnL would play like on it..
but probably due to having the latest 32 bit computer I suppose i am not a priority for NPC
nothing to worry about all the beta testing ive done before 2 times that is its not fun and games
basically the game is not finished and lots of things you cant do although you do get a sense that you helped in the creation of the game and you do get a feel for the game as well as having more knowledge then someone that only comes in at launch
when the game starts to launch all beta testers get wiped from the memory banks and you have to start over
there is no free rides the beta is an unfinished game environment and nothing like the end product
curently there are 100k beta testers I doubt they will need more
there will be no open beta either
but thats not to say more wont be added just the possibility for anyone to get picked is slim to nill
but who knows even though npc doesnt need to stress test they may open the flood gates before launch if nothing more then just have alot of people try it out for free

People have been waiting for 2 years and still haven't gotten in... I, personally, have been waiting a year and still no luck.
