I have pre-ordered the game with origon and paid the 5$. I registered the pre-order code and have early access. My question is im i commited to buying the game from origin now or could i get it from other retailers?

Well, if you put money down, you are committed to buying from that vendor. I suppose you could create a new account and pre-order from another vendor and then cancel the first.
Sort of like if I decide to buy from Walmart then see the same item at JCPenny. I have to cancel one action or end up with two items.
Origin is the only place you can get it via digital download if I am not mistaken. So you found another place ?
you could cancel your pre-order from origin and buy the game from some other retailer. this will not effect your pre-order code on the main site. all the code does is give you the early access and color stone which is the same for all the different editions of the game. any in-game items that would come with either the CE or digital deluxe editions won't be applied to your account until the game or cd key is applied to your account.
If you are meaning my post, no. I wasn't aware of the digital download being limited to Origin. I was making a general comment that if you are put $$ down at one vendor, you are committed to that vendor (unless there are special machinations behind the scenes).

origin is the only place to buy the game for digital download, but they also sell physical copies of the game in the origin store. he didn't mention which version he pre-ordered
That was my fault I got excited thinking I could get it elsewhere.
My problem is that origin wont let me give them my new credit card number since my last one got hacked.So i could just let them have the 5 bucks and buy the game at eb games and not lose early access then?
well you need to cancel that order on origin, otherwise once the game is released, that card could be charged the full price of the game. not sure how that might work if the card has been disabled but i would cancel it just to be sure. but yes, you won't lose early access if you canceled on origin and then bought it somewhere else.
Your best bet would be to call customer service and explain the situation. I'm sure they can transfer your order to another credit card over the phone if it wont let you do it online. Atleast then you wont lose your place in the early access queue.

I did that and was told they cant change the card number. They said ill have to cancel and re-order and that only the 1 version of the game is available, so i would lose my edition i choosed. You would think that they have it set up to edit my payment method but.... i guess there just gonna lose the sale.
That sucks man. I guess your only option is to cancel and order the game somewhere else.
