Is it worth returning?

First let me start off by saying, I am only looking for cold hard facts about changes that have happened.  You can voice your opinion about wether you loved them or hated them, but please do so in a constructive manner that gives me a better idea about the game.  For example "this game is gay because I said so" is not helpful.

Anyways!  I'm really here to ask the question, what current changes have happened to make playing lineage 2 a little easier?  I played open beta/prelude, quit, then came back for I think C4 and quit again.  Haven't played in about 3 years and I would probably be starting totally fresh considering I don't remember anything about my old account.  So how has life changed in L2?

I tried reading forums and people make it seem now like getting to level 70 is a walk in the park, but when I played getting to level 60 meant you were one bad ass....

Also I've heard people about joining guilds that helped them a ton with gear/money/etc which ultimatly determines how fast you can level, so how likely is it to find a guild like that?

I won't lie, I am now one of the minority "casual" gamers.  I'm going to school which takes up all my time and leaves me a few hours here and there to do what I please with, so I really REALLY doubt I could put forth more then 6 hours a week into this game (at least this semester).

Any information about how difficult it is to get the ball rolling, making money, getting gear as you level, time invesment would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and my highest level char was a 52 BD, god I felt so badass when I reached that level, hell the average person was only lvl 40 at that time.

- Thanks!

- P.S. I'm not asking if the game is handed to me, I never want that nor like that, however I know first hand how damn hardcore this game use to be and cannot do that kind of time anymore.

Well I recently returned to the game and it is ALOT easier.

Last time I played was back during C5 got to around 60 before I quit after a couple of months. Now I'm almost level 82 (new character) after almost 2 months now I think, got s80 weapon/armor. I had no trouble getting the gear thanks to one of the money making events that happend earlier. Then I met some nice guys that help me with some stuff.

But yeah they added alot of stuff. (some of these points might be old or whatever but it's the ones I can think of that made a difference for me)

    * Free teleports up to level 41.

    * Daily instances (good exp).

    * 3 Solo instances that give really nice exp.

*Vitality system (sort of like rested exp, it also refills by drops, instances, raid bosses, event items and every weekly maintenance).

    * You can get another 50% bonus exp by recommendations.

    * Common items (non enchantable and no armor set bonus but they are cheap to buy)

    * All class quests goes really fast to do now, drop rate of quest items increased ALOT

    * The market is kinda messed up before GoD now so anything up to s80 is well almost ridiculous cheap, even some boss jewlery.

*Noblesse and subclass quest is piss easy to get done.

Might have forgot alot of things, but it's alot easier now.

I say if you like me enjoyed the game alot before but didn't have the time to play it enough, give it a go now. Seems like even more stuff will change with GoD.

I'd add since the server merger, party is pretty easy to find because population is pretty high, and I've met a lot of returning/new players these past 3 days. I resubbed on saturday, now I'm already lvl 45, that's how good the community is if u find the right people. Speaking for Chronos (US) server ofc.

If u loved this game back in the old days, u'll love it now, it came a long way.
