I might of mentioned it in another thread before but I have been working on a record label company in There for sometime. I have finally launched Therian Media after working on it for over a month. Its the first record label in There, and in any MMORPG before.

Its non-profit and all music released under our label is under a Creative Commons model. So the creator owns all rights to the music. It is explained in full detail on the site. Right now I am working on finding some staff members. But I know it'll all work out.

Too bad There won't provide a musical playerbase that you can be picky with. I would suggest moving to a much more popular game, like Second Life? (ok I admit I'm pushing buttons on purpose ::::23:: )

I have seen people sing in There. Using There's streaming platform and voice chat it would be very easy to set up Live Performances and recordings. In fact there is a position available for a remixer. I just launched it today so I am the only staff member.

Well i'm not too sure it would work out in a hard core MMORPG. There has a big music community so I thought it would work out. I have been wished luck with this company all though the day now. I've attempted many projects in There but I know this one will not fail.

Ya I thought so too. The idea came about after I failed at the production of the There movie Atlantis. I saw how many music lovers were in There and knew that this would work out.

I was but I realized that i'd be leaving too much behind. Besides I had already put forward my idea for Therian Media and I wasn't just gonna stop.

Its not my music. It just launched today so I am the only member of staff and I currently have no bands under the label. However, I have started to search and its just a matter of time until I find a band.

Yes its called ThereTweaker.

Program Files/There/ThereClient/Resources/DLLs/ThereTweaker/

Also the main options are in the client. There > Options >....

eh.... hold on, i never saw a there > options....

hmm well i got the interface to be more appealing.... i was wondering, afew things:

if you subscribe, does volume get louder? cuz i find myself loudening my speakers alot to hear it... and when i get AIMed i crap my pants....

is there a way to change the mouse sensitivity?

Ya sorry, I meant There > Customize >....

Search for Volume in Customize and a slider pops up. You need to adjust it to your prefrence. I don't think there is an option for the mouse. If you suscribe post that in the forums.

So, what exactly makes this a "label." Are you just going to be cataloging peoples live singing? Or are you going to actively recruit people and actually work on some actual music? And will the work you do actually be in game or sessions outside of the game? If everything was done in game that would be pretty unique. Then just upload the results of the in game sessions to the website for sharing purposes. Does There actually provide a way to share these songs in game? Can you send the files to people in game? Or even better would be attaching the file to an object and people need to buy the object to listen to it but maybe that is getting a little to advanced.

I'm going to aim at everything be done in world exept for editing. That means all music is recorded in world and then for Live Performances back ground music is streamed to the event and using voice chat the band will sing. Currently the object thing is not possible.
