I have just loaded the Trial. I was in beta and really didn't like this game. There were too many "reds" and I always died.
That being said I talked to someone the other day that said there have been a lot of changes since beta - so I decided to give it another try.
I really like games with good graphics. Good crafting and good maps (yeah I get lost a lot lol).
The problem I have is 2-fold. I play solo. DO NOT Get Your Panties In A Twist - there is a reason. I have "Essential Tremor" a condition where I "tremor". My head moves side-to-side and my mouse hand will sometimes sort of act on its own. Jerking my pointer far away from the mob I am trying to target. It is not fair to me or to a group for me "play with others".
Sorry for going into to TMI - BUT as soon as someone even starts to say the S word (solo) messages appear with all kinds of nasty comments.
So I would like to create a character that can stay alive - solo. I made a Guardian rogue marksman human that I have played for about 2 hours. She seems to be pretty good - so far.
It also seems that in the Trial you can only have 2 characters. So I would like to create something else to try and really need your input and suggestions.
I really appreciate any info you may offer - I can't afford to buy the game and then pay $15/month and Hate it! I want to play as much and "trial" as much as I can with my 7 days.
THANKS!

My first character was a Warlock/Cholomancer. Good dps and nice heals. Think i died once in pve and havent lost a fight in pvp versus someone around the same level.
I'm now playing a ranger/marksman, pet tanks and i spank but i have died due to pet aggroing mobs and getting caught out by spwns
really all the classes can solo, it's just a matter of playstyle. The Necro/Warlock/Chloro can do pretty good solo. They have the 3 types of pets and can heal themselves and pets very well
I think playing the Rogue class with ranger and marksman souls would do you good, they have nice survivability. But then again any class with a tanking pet does well. mage class with necro or elemental pets that tank do well. But in my honest opinion ranger/marks does the best for me.
Thank you all SOO much!
I will look at the spirit (I think that is what it is called - when you add a sub-class>) and build on the character I already have.
Then I may look into a Magic Class? hmmm
Thanks again - keep those cards and letters comming LOL

I play a mage, the solo build I use for farming and xp is 34 Ele/24 Pyro/8 Chloro. This allows me to aoe, pet tank, dps and self heal almost like my own 3 man group. You can do it progressive also as you level. Around lvl 18 you will see best results.
Jasinlee - I made a character using your suggestion. She is High Elf Guardian and seems to be doing very well.
I do not like the cloth armor (so far) as I do not like "dresses".
I have found no vendors or any way to craft - yet - guess I have to get higher than lvl 6?
Thanks again for all of the input. My Ranger/Marksman is doing pretty well also - only problem I have is the pet will attack when I am not really ready - causing more than "we" can handle. I think this will take some practice to figure out.

Calling: Cleric.
Roles: Shaman, Justicar, Inquisitor.
Enjoy your new life as an indestructible, multi mob killing machine.
What is the easiest class... I dont think this question is as easy as just naming class X.
I personally didnt have much trouble with any of the classes , but what is the easiest to me doesnt mean its the easiest to someone else. Personally I had the easiest time leveling as warrior and mage, though I enjoyed the rogue play style the most.
Quests provide nicely gearwise, so there really isnt much need to worry about items off vendors or the ah.
But I think the best answer is.. what kind of class/play style do you preffer and go with that.
Cleric, hands down.
When you are soloing or with someone leveling up, play Duracell build. Look it up under the Cleric forums there.
When you are healing for dungeons, look up the Healing build (several to choose from) and use the macros the guides give. Easy as pie.
You'll get first cracks on dungeons (other than tanks) but you will not wait longer than five mins for a party for sure, and you can AoE farm when you don't feel like healing morons.
"TO MICHAEL!"
Doesn't matter, the whole game is a little larger than my living room and less interesting. Make a class easy or hard, the world is not worth my time.
