I've been playing Achaea for about 10 years, it's probably the best RPG as far as how much you can customize your character and overall player maturity. The PvP is deep with lots of skills and ways to set up your enemy to instakill them. For example you can behead people, pike their head along the road so other people see it, you can freeze them and smash them to pieces, etc. But the roleplay is deep too, the staff runs lots of events to introduce new areas and new classes, it's not like griefers everywhere and PK all the time. You can PK if you want to PK or you can just roleplay and get involved in guild politics or designing clothes that you can sell in player shops

Will take a look, surprised ive never heard of it before.
if you check it out my characters name is the same one I use here. You can send me a message in the game and I'll help you out, that goes for anyone checking this thread out
Achaea Dreams of divine Lands? The MUD? I used to play that game religiously about 10 years ago myself, for about 3 years straight. I used to play table top games at a local hobbyshop (Hardcastle) and a friend there turned me onto it. I should really give it a go again sometime.

if you played it 10 years ago you will be amazed at how much it has changed. they added ship sailing, lots of new classes, new cities, very active staff too
I just rolled a new account (Grook named Eldsar). And yeah already there is so much different. New tutorial, the mini-map, overall UI, etc. Looks good though. Gosh, all the memories are flooding back of me just starting out and slaughtering Pixies and Imps with everyone else.
Is there still the begin player area for levels 1-10 where you sit in that room with Romeo and Juliet?

Yup there is still the newbie room with Romeo and Juliet, and they really expanded the newbie areas. Its not just pixies and imps anymore. I started playing in about 2001 so I remember how small the game was - trust me, it's enormous now. You can even sail to islands and explore those.
