  i was a huge fan of UO bro got me hooked back when he let me play his beta cd way back when anyways accounts still up and etc its really fun at times but its just for too umm same old same old, and i never really made alot of friends on there because mostly i kindofa just didnt talk to alot of people *shrugs* but a game thats really great is Lineage 2 it really is it seems simple and hohom like EQ and everything with classes and etc but it branches out to be REALLLY skill system complex its like a mix of UO skill system and AC2 skill tree

  all pvp etc castle sieging, pking etc is allowed only thing i can see is reds have higher chance of droping 1 item then non murders

  Because when UO was made so many years ago, it was a fun game where you can do anything you wanted. When it was made, it was at the top of the game. It even made the guinness book of world records for most gamers playing it. People would mind their business and you would mind yours. Sometimes they would even work together to achieve such greatness. Then, Origin made Trammel, which was mistake number 1. Then they sold the game it EA games, which was number 2. EA f***ed it up good. But people couldn't get off because they were addicted to it. I played 24/7 for 3 years. I quit, and a year later I came back. When I came back, I played for 2 days before deleting it because I saw how much it sucked. I quit for good.... I hope. But they don't realize it sucks. They are blinded by the fact that they have rares, a big house, powerful mage, now it's the necromancer or paladin that you can only access by getting the new games which is like another 30 bucks. They promote their new products in game by giving the people who buy it items. They keep your attention by giving you rewards. It's fricken annoying. What kind of a game sells action figures?! I saw some at the store. Lord Blackthorn action figure. promoting Lord Blackthorn's Revenge. That's just too much for me. I'm out.

  Why does everyone like 3D?!?! I HATE 3D!!! It's hard to see everything around you and its so annoying. I like the way UO Rennaisance had their graphics.

  i think uo is a great game.

  some shards are boring and nothing special but others are great.

  the world is too big? worlds cant be too big.. explore.. there are loads of places to hunt or set up your ideal house or headquarters.

  player vs player combat is very exciting and skillfull.

  gameplay is where uo excels. you can do so much!

  firstly, to be completely immersed in Ultima Online, you need to be a total Ultima fan.. i've been following Ultima only since Ultima VII: The Black Gate and boy, i've been hooked.. after Ultima VIII came out years back and i played it over and over again.. Ultima IX was disappointing but nevertheless, it furthered my addiction.. and when Ultima Online: Age of Shadows was released did i jump into the Ultima universe again.. mind you, i'm not living in the United States nor in Europe but in Singapore which is a very small yet dense metropolitan and developed country.. i think you've heard of us in the news about SARS.. Hong Kong-ers ran over here and spread it like wildfire but anyway, what i'm trying to say is, Ultima even reaches to the farthest ends of the Earth to people like me and guess what? it has successfully gotten me hooked yet again.. i just started off and my character is still a goddamn n00b adventurer but who the hell cares? i'm living the Ultima life and i'll be doing so till Ultima X: Odyssey conquers my mind and forces me to live out the Ultima life in three-dimensional freedom.. OSI has done a fantastic and superb job on all the Ultmas despite some shortcomings and flaws but i don't give a rat's piece of hairy ass about any of the critics' or pessimistic reviewers' comments.. to me, i am and always will be a fervent fan of the Ultima universe no matter what.
