Fallen Earth: Free Version Coming October 12th

GamersFirst has announced that Fallen Earth's transition to a free-to-play revenue model will be completed this week and that players will be able to enter the new iteration beginning Wednesday, October 12th.
The World Events System will also go live on October 12th which will give players the opportunity to participate in optional quests that "pop up around the world" that will lead to new missions and hard to gain gear.
Lastly, active and returning players will be rewarded with a brand new Spiked Chopper Veteran's Reward. The Spiked Chopper is designed especially to honor their support. Designed for the harsh landscape of the post-apocalypse, the Spiked Chopper allows players to travel from encampment to settlement in style while still fending off the occasional mutated beast or hostile clone.
Keep your eyes on the Fallen Earth site as the week progresses.

Was looking forward coming back to this after the change to f2p. Untill I read about the specifics of the update with the 'economy changes'. Their gathering system is now totally crap. So Im going to stick with CoH Freedom.

I have been in the free trial for the last 10 days or so. Players that are using the free trial can continue using that account when the game goes F2P. In other words, I may be stuck at level 10 for a couple of more days but all my crafting skills are now at level 60 and I have a bank full of items. All my armor and weapons are the best that I can craft. I was able to do all this WITHOUT the crafting limit that will be in place after it goes F2P.
Yea, now that its free...and being an influx should come in at one time, i'll play. I played beta...then stopped. When I came back everyone was far past me and Tier 1 was lonely...so i stopped. With people coming back, i'm in.

As my subscription goes clear through 2012 into 2013 I am looking forward to the upgrade to commander for that time. Might be a good time to level some alts with the xp/craftign bonuses.
I also like the look of that chopper, I wonder if they will also have a craftable version on the 12th or if they will wait awhile before eventually adding one. In my opinion the chopper is the read vet reward not the other stuff.
Because flying a Minmatar ship is like going down a flight of stairs on an office chair while firing an Uzi.
After the patch from earilier last week, I would not recommend this to new players until G1 stops being bad.
I have a year sub with about 10 months left, I enjoy the game, but the fact that one of the most BASIC ITEMS for crafting is now a 'RARE' item is retarded beyond dirt.

GamersFirst is a dissaster company! Only ever had crappy B titles with totally retarded cash shops.
I still can't get my head around why the hell Fallen Earth merged with GamersFirst. They surely could have found a better partner.

Any ID and Nickname i try to put is rejected, no matter how many random numbers i put before or after.
It only accepts total gibberish imputs like "srthjsrjfrth" but not "srthjsrjfrthRIC"... works the same with numbers.
