first caravan event in MO, (well think its the first 
) wannabe heroes set off with an important shipment from meduli with the intentions of delivering it in Kranesh. Of course things dont always turn out how you plan In MO.

I see 6 people walking from point A to point B while being attacked by another six people, this is considered an "Event"??? Whats the deal with animations and sync? People sliding all over the place. lol Thanks for sharing another MO gem

event kinda sucked, but the pvp was fun until fear turned up with monuted archers and ruined it, was just about to see a 3way kranesh bridge fight. Instead the sight of 10 horse archers was enoguh to cause everyone to flee.

I had really hoped this game was going to be good, then everytime someone that posts a video and they are so excited about their post, I smile and say, "maybe this time" then you see the video and cant barely watch it. Graphics, animations...everything, so so bad...

how did he make that video? what i mean is how did he get those shots as if he (the camera man) was flying? it says it's not a star vault video so how did a player get the ability to have that sort of freedom of movement ? as far as i know you cant fly in game....
firstly im posting it here because it was an event, i think it did suck thoguh but everyone to their own opinion, the video was recorded by a councilor i beleive hence the flying. The event ended way to quickly we as in aq killed the only group to make it to kranesh which can be seen in the video, just after that plenty of groups and guilds converged at kranesh bridge which was way mroe exciting than the event imo, but the event was necessary to create an area of focus, was some good fights there until fear turned up with monuted archers.
why not post it? its an mo video being posted in the mo section of mmorpg forums?

Its either an SV video being passed off as "fan made" or they're using the fly hack. You have to LOL @ Starvaults "marketing", but do love the videos.

My opinion:
The combat looks decent gameplay wise and I am sure is better while playing than watching. There are a few games that I have thought look amazing in game but the videos never do them justice. MO is one of those games that just looks worse in videos I think.
The graphics are certianly a mixed bag. The animations (a seperate issue sort of) are not great but are needed in a game that does not have as many pre-defined paths etc. The same goes for the twitchy corpses with the ragdoll physics. They could just have the corpse drop in a static predetermined manner but they tried for more realism. It works and doesn't at the same time. The same goes for graphics that are "realistic" They can look dated pretty quickly compared to more cartoony graphics. The armour looks great. . the character models still bother me. It is like an alternate universe where ugly is more attractive and that is the way DNA went.
The caravan at least gave people something to do. . a reason to fight. . for now at least. Nice to see banners in as well.
It makes me want to resub a little more. . but then I think of how long it has been since I played. It would be enough for me to play again for a month or two possibly but I still find I am waiting for "more". I want to see some cool epic (I hate to use that term in relation to the game) sized dungeons.
To anyone still playing - do things like the Risasr invasion still happen or has that gone to the wayside with smaller staff etc.?

The risar invasions are over, but they sometimes have lesser animal invasions (not gm controlled). So, filling meduli with spiders and the nitre queen or something. Not very amazing, but usually creates pvp which is fun.
Also,it seems like people just hate on these MO videos for no reason. Your really going to say that the gameplay in this video looked bad compared to other mmos... Then I don't know what mmo your playing, because pretty much all of them have much much worse comabt, except for lobby mmo's and darkfall. Graphics in the game are exceptional (how many released mmo's have better graphics?), animations leave something to be desired, but I mean jeeze people...

Hi Guys
Quick Update on the Caravan Event.
From our perspective it went pretty welll - two teams set out the first fell quite early but elements of the GD actually made it into Kranesh before an untimely end to the the event took place!
I will run this event again - we'll notifty you on the Forums and IRC as last time.
We also managed to capture some media from the event and hope to feed this back to you soon.
Many thanks to all those that made it along on the day and patricipated (in any way).
For some it looked like very little happened - for others I'm told it was quite the adventure.

The Merchant Prince Rosenante, disappointed with the failure of his last attempt to deliver goods into Kranesh has decided (with the King's assistance) to hold a competition today for the position of Mercenary Guard Unit.
The winning team will be charged with guarding a certain Caravan Team (as yet not announced) in their attempt at making a successful delivery 7 days from now.
Teams will petition as a group and then be ported into the Arena by a Counselor at GMT 20:00 GMT+1, 15:00 EST, 12:00 PST. We will count down time to the event in IRC as well as with in-game messages.
Teams will be comprised of no more than 6 members - who will be awarded tabards at the start of the event for their team color.
There will be only 1 team per guild.
A team may be comprised of ANY type or setup desired. Big pots will be allowed.
Only participating teams will be allowed to enter the arena floor. Any spectators who jump the barriers will be immediately killed and ported to the Jungle.
Any spectators pushing or fighting in the the stands will be ejected and or killed and depending upon offense, summarily ported to the jungle.
There will be zero right to appeal during the event as the support team will be extremely busy.
Upon the Prince's command all teams present will battle to the death. The last team standing will be designated as Mercenary Guard for next week's Caravan Event.
The Prince promises to be extremely generous to the winning team, showering both riches and prizes upon the winners—weapons and armor crafted by the Prince's finest armorers to assist in their coming endeavors.
There will also be commiserate compensation awarded to the second place team.
The winning team will be ported to the location of their choice at the end of the event - all others shall be ejected at the main door.
Teams will raise an OTHER ticket in order to be ported to their designated team area within.
Spectators will raise a STUCK.
See you all at the Arena! Any questions please ask in IRC or raise a petition.

An "event" with a maximum of 42 people, I would imagine getting that many might be a stretch.

That was an "event"? Yeah, that looked really "epic". "Epic" of course meaning uninteresting. I have seen more people show up for a spur of the moment, backwoods pallete-fire party. I wonder which caravan content is less fun, FFXIV's or MO's.
Is it possible for the video to make this game look more awful than it actually is? Maybe the game is no so awful now. It was awful when I played it back in it's early days and the video makes it look awful still.
I think the video speaks for the quality of MO.

I hope they keep doing events like this. The game needs it. People are dropping like flies. Everyone is bored and stagnant waiting for the much needed fixes and the TC patch.
Even if only a handfull of players show up it is better than nothing.
Its rather sad a touted "sandbox" has to resort to these types of things to keep the remaining players entertained.
