hello all , i recently as of yesterday tried another go at horizons, after all the talk on this site about how it had improved, i even rated the game higher, anyways, my problem is i dont see any text, which means i cant see what npcs are saying or any chat or most options i see some text such as quick bars etc inventory etc, but nothing that helps me play the game, i tried new patcher and i cannot get it too work it say to install net framework 1.1(which i did), then it said to trust tulga games(which i did) then it said to make sure its the most recent version of net framework 1.1 (which i also did). Now i still cant patch the game i have email support and just like before tulga games owned it its a fng marathon getting them to help you, and still no support phone # which really pisses me off, and i only have one user on my pc and i am the administrator, so that is not the problem either, if anyone can help me out here i would greatly appreciate it, and for Horizons BOOOOOOOooooooooo..... yes its not as laggy but support and game are still in rough condition, ty mmorpg for misleading us with this game . peace

First off, don't use the new patcher if it doesn't work for you. Use the old one it's just fine. I can't use the new one either and don't have a problem with the old one. Just log in, create character or play old one, then press [Play Horizons]
As far as not being able to see chat windows, wish I could help there. I never had a problem, the UI works smashingly for me. Try playing with your options, I am really at a loss I can't imagine not being able to see npc chat or regular chat windows. When you right click someone and press greet them a new chat window pops up with their speech. This doesn't happen for you?
Be sure to start the game from here and when you sign in do a "full scan."
You won't get much help with that here. Better to go to community.istaria.com forums. There are lots of suggestions in this thread. But you may want to ask a question in the questions and answers forum.
The problem you describe is covered in detail including resolution on the technical forum of the community site (Khoal's posted the link here already).
If you find that you cannot resolve the problem with the provided solution, then please do post in the community forums with information such as your system specfication, driver versions for your hardware, etc, the usual stuff that support and other players can use to help you out
