"A couple of weeks ago we talked about our updated schedule, where we also mentioned the upcoming alpha, beta and release window of TERA.
Today we would like to provide you with an update on our progress behind the curtains. We recently started an extended internal testing phase for TERA and soon we’ll hit the next phase of our tests, the alpha.
During the first alpha stage, we’ll invite a small amount of community members, which will beaded to our internal testers. This new alpha stage will be completely under NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement)."

Argh ! Only alpha how can that be when it is released in Korea. Jeez how long more ?
I have tested Alpha early April. Next will be Alpha #2 and Closed Beta later this year. Few CB stages and OB -> final release in 1st quarter 2012. < i hope >
Well, the game didn't go as well as hoped in Korea, and the teams seems to be fixing up a lot of things.
They actually have a pretty impressing team lead by Patrik Wyatt (former Blizzard and ANET) so lets hope they can fix up the game to work well for westeners. The praphics are very pretty but what I heard is that the quests were pretty bad even for a Korean game in original, lets hope they can spice them up a bit.
The K-Tera version bombed so hard because it was so unfinished. The client was so badly un optimized that players would crash regularly if you didn't have a high end computer. EME has had a ton of work to do to fix the client.
It's been quite around the TERA front because BHS is waiting for G*Star 2011 to announce some big things.
Wrong. The orginial client did have a few bugs but it was highly optimized and still is. To tell you the truth I'm not suprised that someone would spew false info that has never tried the game.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
What are you talking about, I'm not speaking false info at all. Look I really like the game and have done my best to try and promote it. But I'm not some blind fanboi either.
The client was a mess when the game came out. Doing dungeons sucked because people would constantly crash all the time. Koreans cried on the forums to get it fixed but BHS wouldn't listen, so guess what, 80% of the subs left. It was only then did BHS actually decided to listen and started fixing things but by then it was to late. I'm not spreading any false info here, it's the truth.
The Korean client right now is not bad at all, but they didn't start fixing it till April 2011 when everyone left.
Now BHS gave EME the old original client with bugs in tow, not the new updated one. So EME got stuck having to fix everything on their own.
As of the EME Open House during Pax Prime this year, EnMasse said they were only 2-3 patches behind korean in their current build.
BHS does do small patches once a month, but for major patches they have only done 4 major patches. I guess it depends on what EME means, if they mean every patch including the small ones or just the major patches.
If it were the major patches then 2-3 patches behind back in August would be the Original Korean Client.
Now back in Aug, less than a week before Pax, Cynical Brit got to test out the Alpha, and he spend some time playing it and enjoyed it.
But to us Tera Vets we noticed something in that video, the U.I. in that video was the same as the old original Korean client. The mobs he was fighting in the open world on the starter island were just normal elites, just like it was in the original Korean client.
Soon we all figured out that EME/Frogster was just using the original Korean client.
Then when EME posted this video on Pax, and you look at their screens, they are all still using the old original Korean client.
Even back in August Scapes said they didn't know if they would even get the lvl 58 patch for NA. Because they were still stuck with the original Korean client.
Then we have a Frogster Rep who says the end game dungeons are Akasha's Lair and the Golden Labyrinth. Umm yea in the old Original Korean client but not now. When they say stuff like this it makes you wonder if even to this day all they got is the original client.
I don't see anything in the Pax video which shows that it is an old client. And according to people who were at the event, the Dark Awakening patch was included in the client. http://www.terafans.com/news/308-the-pax-2011-en-masse-entertainment-open-house-event/
That response is in-line with E3 Dev Chat reply where they said they will have at least a lvl 58 cap at launch. They are not sure if a higher lvl cap will be included at launch. http://www.tera-online.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18863
Are you implying that I Ping pong sir? haha. XD I am simply highly opinionated about certain topics, but I am consistent on those particular topics. lol. We are just gonna have to agree to disagree.
More and more often I read "wait until we test our version" - and while I agree with some on that, people seem to be used more and more often to rebut real problems with the game.
I for one am really interested in seeing what EME as done with the game, but as a guy that played till 58 in KTERA, I should say that the game really needs a proper "westernisation" package (a total overhaul).
It seems like I hate the game, but i don't, I actually want it to succeed, but the game in KOREA is crap, and EME should actually also listen to players like me that played in KTERA cause most of us are not happy with that piece of shit they call a game.
TERA as potential, and thats it, and im looking forward to see the cap finally at 60, Agaia(mainly this) and 9th class, and I dream that our version will not have lock-on skills and aim-assist(or whatever u want to call it) and 95% RNG reduction from KTera. Becasue trust me TERA's RNG makes Aion's look like a kids game.
For 2 years I've been following this game and it has CHANGED so much from its original view that is no longer the game it was announced, but the potential is there to get it back on track, will EME have the manpower and actually decision making to revert all the bad choices they made in Korea is still to be seen.
All we can do is wait and see.
I'm being told they now have said they'll have sieges, which is crucial to me...and i'm being told on pvp servers you dont' have to flag for pvp...so im stoiked

Nah, people say that stuff on here...but when they give a launch, everyone will get pumped again. It's a no win situation for a developer. If they launch it as it was launched in Ktera, everyone will complain that they failed twice and they should have fixed it. if they delay it, as they have...people say it was to slow

this worried me , i thought they go back with that awfull RNG and that aim crap assist, but those 2 features by itself make me want not to play at all this game and that stupid flag to pvp incredible feature on PVP servers... as i can see this game will fail hard if they dont fix it , cause it will be to many nice mmo's to play next year.....
I think they will get rid of flagging, most people have complained about it...
