Just got shadowbane :)

in Shadowbane

okay..i just bought the shadowbane throne of oblivion for like 2 dollars ..my friend got a coppy too. It says it comes with The game another expansion and the throne of oblivion expansion haha so.. 3 games for 2 bucks.. not bad.. im downloading all the patches now and am about to make a free 30 day account. hope this goes well.. i NEED a new mmo to play

    I played for 2 years 3 years. quit and played dark age for 2 or so years, now im playing wow but im bored of it so im debating to go back to either Shadowbane or Dark age, but shadowbane is VERY good just dont know how many people still play :P

    ok..well i like the game alot so far.. there is just noone on :(, me and my friend are playing and theres like 200 ppl on..thats lame.. and makes me sad that a good game has lost it like this..

    Yea its a heartbreaker to see a game like this fall,  I remeber in beta and first few months when there where a ton of people playing, I think it just needs a graphic upgrade, there are plenty of professions and class.

    New graphics wont save it. Open pvp just doesnt work.

     

    Not even counting the host of other issues found in shadowbane.

    Open PvP didn't kill Shadowbane. It's the only thing keeping it alive.

    Constant crashes, server lag at banes, and a shitty customer care staff killed it for most people.

    Ya I am thinking about going back, but the pop. makes me worry. The company need to advertise SB.

    Pops are rising lately, which is odd in the summer.  I think WoW didn't wow a lot of folks.

    They've been working at advertising it, they've put the trial up on this site along w/ an interview with Ashen. But they also need to get some adds up on various other sites imo.

    i played for around a day.. and im sooo fing bored with it.. mostly cause i can find NOONE and theres just not enough ppl.. this is sad.. i was hoping for a quality mmo to play.. and not that this isnt just..not enough ppl know it is.

    If they made the skill system a little more like UO it would rock. The thing I hated most about SB aside from the bugs and stuff is the fact that other players can pretty much stop you from advancing your character. All they have to do is come to your town and smash your trainers then what can you do?

    Im not a hardcore gamer so there really isnt much left for me to do aside from leeching off other guilds. You are pretty much forced to join or quit. I wish they would come out with an SB 2.

    SB skill system > * imo

    As for the trainer thing...not only can you use someone elses trainers (an ally or an open trainer city) but I haven't really seen anyone destroy a trainer town in hopes of slowing their opponent down for the above reason...ever.

    SB is about guild warfare, there isn't much room for a solo player unless you want to miss out on the best part of the game.  No one will feel a casual gamer is leeching off of them.  When grouped, you aren't making others lose xp, and unless you ask for a pile of stuff and never help the guild (which would be leeching, but not due to your casual-ness) then you're fine.
