LoTRO under attack ?

So the Turbine controlled Mainsite forums has been down all day, and now Casual Stroll to Mordor, one of the more popular blogs for LoTRO is now coming up as malware infected, along with the burgzerg.com (a very popular chracter traiting/specialization site).

So just three coincidences ? Or something more sinister afoot here ?

Lolipops !

There are also increasing reports of accounts being hacked.

Since the Turbine forums use the same logins as the game accounts, there seems to be a connection.

What is it a concerted attack against MMOs first SOE and now Turbine. Somebody hit on the idea of a gravy train riding on MMOs and their access to credit cards.

I've never been able to log in to the LotRO forums. It ignores my account. I guess I'm fortunate on this one.

It's never a good idea to use your game password for a forum. LOTRO's or any forum.  Shame on Turbine for doing this!

It's funny, that was exactly Turbine's policy for years, until they rolled out the new (and incredibly crappy) forums. Oh no, they said, having the game login exactly the same as the forum one is not a security risk at all. No sir.

    Ooops.

They have gotten to be such an arrogant, pompous company since WB bought them and the F2P switch...

Seriously, did someone at Turbine run over your dog?  Do you even play the game?  Just about every post you've droned about your contempt for LoTRO.  I can't understand why someone who dislikes something continues to indulge themselves in contempt for said commodity.

Your malevolence in your demeanor towards this game is frivolous at best, and childish at worst.  Play a game you enjoy and move on I say.

A good amount of the Lulzsec members have been arrested over the past few months, at least a good amount of people who are believed to be members of lulzsec.

It has now been reported that some German guy found a security flaw in Turbines forum computer and had access to all your account info (if you logged into the forum).  If this isn't proof that they're reckless for using account log in passwords for the forum I don't know what is. I will not participate in a forum that uses account passwords.
