default Bug Tracker is Back

Hello Everyone,

The bug tracker is now back, and open for business. Anyone is able to submit bugs, however you will only see your own reports. You can submit all bugs here:

http://www.mortalonline.com/forums/bugtracker.php

When submitting bugs, make sure to take your time writing out the report. If you are able to reproduce it on demand, that will make our job a lot easier as we can accurately pin it down. So before attempting to submit a bug, I ask everyone to try and replicate it first.

Be organized, be methodical, and have fun.

That is a good choice for SV, they don't reveal the bugs to exploiters, and also don't have to show the bug numbers to potential buyers.  I like Black Opal's comment "have fun" though.  Things I like to do in MMOs for fun: Report bugs

nice to see the bug tracker back and the first 20 testers chosen.

there are 2 types of mmo, imitators and innovaters.

I actually heard that they did not have 20 applicants so they went with 17.  Can you confirm?

At least they have realized that having players PM bugs to a community manager is not a valid way of tracking bugs...

A pure PR move, appease the players by removing the stupid system of PMing the CM to report bugs but still stop prospective players from seeing the amount of serious bugs ingame. Whether it will make any real difference remains to be seen, but I doubt it.

    Deathshroud -

Any chance you could outline the reasons you are no longer subscribing to MO? I think people may find it informative as regards the current state of the game and the amount of serious bugs left unresolved.

We all know how "productive" it was the first two+ years, SV could spend the next few years fixing the backlog from round one.

They could... But instead they will just spend the next five seconds pretending these bugs do not exist, the game is "working as intended", the population is growing and Henrick is "Hope".

Then they will spend the rest of this "games" existance ignoring the bug tracker, posting "updates" on MMO sites with Black Opal's sock puppet account(s), censoring any critics, pretending everything is great and trying to sell this mess to someone else.

Ok I think they can take the bugtracker down.  The real reason why MO is buggy has been found out by this brilliant player.  It is not MO it is your POS computer.

If you enjoy playing these aspects of the game, welcome. If you need some NPC that tells you what to do in game, MO won't be a game for you.

Yeah he hit it on the head, its still got quite a few bugs if you have a laggy computer, if you don't it can run like a dream. Unlike darkfall through SV doesn't take years to come out with updates or fix bugs unless they just can't at the time.

Wait what? Many bugs have been in game since beta and are still unfixed. Memory leaks, nodeline issues, loot issues, housing issues, you name it. Hell the freekin character display hasn't shown the correct armor on a player EVER. Basic math bugs in character creation display, been there forever. The bugs are there even if you have a beast computer.

SV is very much like AV, except the Darkfall engine is a much better game engine. Mo has better game mechanics though (FPS style, good flagging system, thieving, no grind, interesting crafting), not counting magic where DF is way ahead of MO.

I do want whatever Wench is smoking tho.  DF runs alot better than MO.  And has by far less bugs.  I do not ever remember dying to an invisible person in DF.

-Brilliant. This problem has been solved then. It was my POS computer all along.

In fact, I had been playing MO on my Web TV system, all along thinking it was bad coding and such. What a surprise I was in for when I tested this theory using a NASA supercomputer (I am an astrounaut IRL- So they let me use their computer since they trust me) and BAM. The game works perfect.

Hell, "town life" was working, the AI was so good that NPC have conversations using real AI, I discussed the philosophy of the meaning of life with a  book seller and was surprised that he had the answer- My whole life is changed.

There was no lag, even on nodelines, and the breeding system was so awesome I was able to extract horse semen and inject it into a chicken and make a chicken mount. There are features I didnt even know existed in this game!!!!!!!!!!

Shit, I am changing my tune now. MO is the bestest game ever and the only people having any issues is because their computers suck.

    WOW.

LOL and this is a member of the Focus Group?  I guess we see what happens when "yes men/fanbots" help steer and test MO.
