Guild Wars vs Magic the Gathering

Okay, when I play GW the more I play and study the system the more I get the feeling that it bears similarities to MTG. The 'classes' are the different colors and the 'skills' are the cards. You have a primary class and a secondary class aka playing dual colors, or even more since some classes are more diversify than the others. The energy = lands and enegy reserves are generally very limited as you can only chain a few skills in a short period of time b4 being depleted of energy, and notice that all skills give a relatively short duration when compared to other MMORPG (from a few sec to a minute max) This gives you the feel of 'rounds' and 'turns' in combat (and they are very fast indeed). Some skills like 'interrupt', 'change one dmg type to another dmg type', 'sacrifice health to gain xxx', 'pacifism' (yes they actually have a skill called pacifism) etc. to name a few. Do they sound familiar to you if you play MTG? Finally, some 'MTG words' can be found throughout the website and in the game like 'Big Red' (the new character naming page), and the dev actually compare GW with MTG in the official webpage (faq i think).

So what do you think?

cool review , but , one minute max , is not true ... with some upgrades , and enenchements spells they can last longer ...

my main char is a fire ele

i can cast spells almost non stop ... , one of my spells gives me 30% of the energie i waste when using fire spells , becose some spells take a lot of time to recharge and others are fast , i always have a spell to cast and some energie to waste.

for exemple if i cast a Meteor shower , each strike dmgs 112 , i dont cast any spell until that one is over , i realy dont need too , all those 112 hits can almost kill a worm. in this time my energie bar goes up and other spells recharge.

btw can you dodge atacks in MTG ?

cose in gw we can actulay run away from a hit ... this system is completely new in mmorpg games

i eard this is the first and only one atm.

There are certainly cards in MTG that enable to ignore combat dmg from one or more sources for one or more turns... u may call it 'dodge'.

BTW I think in AC2 and you can also 'dodge' missile attacks by strafting.
