Guild Wars 2 vs Tera online

Hello everybody, I was reading forums today and thought of this topic after not finding it in a google search or any other forums I generally read on a daily basis. So which one do you think would triumph in terms of graphics, gameplay, combat, and endgame content?

GW2 will not have a sexually attractive non-human race (bar a sylvari fetish ... mmm).

GW2 will not be censored to cater to a wider crowd (not much to censor).

GW2 will not be a grind-fest (as far as I know).

GW2 will not have a ridiculous and unnecessary subscription fee.

    TERA wasn't created by ArenaNet.

    Is that it?

    I don't know, man.

After seeing those asura animations, I got the cravings for some asuran women.

    GW2 - awesome sauce

Tera - goofy weapons the size of compact cars.

I dont understand the comparison because from what we know they are pretty different games.  Now I could understand a post like this back when WoW came out with "EQ2 or WoW?"  but Tera and GW2 are pretty different games, not to mention that GW2 is B2P so its hard for one to dominate the other.

The SWTOR v GW2 is also a moot point as well.

There is already a thread on this in the Tera boards.

I hear that's their new advertising tagline.

Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.

Instead of B.A.M.s - Big Ass Monsters

    It should be

    B.A.W.s - Big Ass Weapons

Forgot about that ,i have no respect for Frogster or NCSOFT.While it is A-Net making the game, the people in charge were still appoionted by NCSOFT and i am sure they are the main profit makers,A-Net is probably just a developer working for them ,nothing more,it is Ncsofts game.

I was surprised to see how low the graphics looked in actual gameplay in TERA,but f2p it is always the same,i expect GW2 to be the exact same lower settings as GW1 was proof,it looked for very low end.

Both will look better than SWTOR by far.

Two internet denizens claim GW2 won't be action-oriented. It must be true!!!

It has to be true. I mean he has a link to a 20 minute conference where the dev says it will be action-oriented to back up his claims that GW2 will not be action oriented. HOW CAN THAT POSSIBLY BE REFUTED???????

Sence none of these so called gamers have answered your questions I will try as best I can (I have a max character in Tera and have never tried GW2 so my knowledge is limited for that game).

Graphics:  Both are not lacking in graphics....push.

Gameplay:  This one is hard to pin down because of the limited info we have on gw2.  As far as tera, as it stands right now its mostly focused on pve gameplay (the pvp aspects are lacking in the open world).  This is subject to change in the near future but untill then I will give this topic to GW2.

Combat:  This topic lands squarely on personnel preference.  I give this one to Tera (collision detection & free aim = win)

Endgame:  Push.  We have not seen endgame of either game.

both of these titles should be well worth your gaming time.

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

I think TERA will have better graphics, even though you might prefer GW2s artstyle or not.

The other 3 on the other hand is GW2s.

While Teras combat might seems more action oriented it is just a variation of the holy trinity combat, and in GW2 you can either choose to play a more classic class or one that is action oriented like the thief. That said, both games combats are interesting since they actually make you move when you fight to get anywhere, I find that in most games can you get really far by just standing in the same point the entire combat and active dodging is cool (I am not 100% that Tera have it though but I assume it have).

Gameplay is really GW2s thing, Tera is traditional questbased with rather boring standard quests, GW2s approach to it is completely new. Same thing with endgame even though raiders people who only collect gear as an endgame will prefer Tera.

I dont doubt you have a max character in Tera, but if you do have one then shouldnt you know what endgame is like?
