got my hands on the game at NYCC (I'm a staff member for NYCC not Biowear) The game is awesome, I played both PvP and PvE. PvE was insane it plays like Mass Effect 3 (yes played that too it's a smoother game then ME:2 which is why I said that) It's smooth and the graphics are wonderful, story is there not for the sake of being there but it makes it to where you want to see how the next mission will play out. I was able to play the same toon 2 times to change choices (you can only do this in testing and won't be able to retake a mission again on the same toon. I saw some cool changes and I was left wanting more. this game has a soul. Anyone who played ME or ME2 can understand how biowear treats there story. I left thinking damn what happened to........... and how is ............ going to turn out for ........... I can just say this I played a ton of games at the con but none were as gripping. PvP is fast and almost mind bending and watching a speeder fly off to give a birds eye of the combat I was loading into was a nice touch .
If we get to pilot the drop ships and walkers I'm all in on this game. I'm much more of a support role player than a tip-of-the-spear type player so, if they let me swoop through the theater, with an assault walker strapped to my drop, I think I may have found may game
My heart is beating like a drum. Epic smoth pvp, huge planets, epic story, epic companions,with skills ,spacecombat, awesome vehicles, jedi, sith, love, hate and so much more. Thats the game for me.This world will stop to exist and space saga will start
Does anyone know if there'll be any sort of high-res textures in the game? Or do we have to get along with what we see here?

The Textures looked pretty high-res to me. I Think your complaining more about the art style. Its prob not gonna get any better then that.

for some reason watch game footage is more exciting than a cg trailer...., cgi trailers are fun and quite a show but nothing more exciting than see the game the way u will see it ingame also i love that trooper npc with the messed up face tough bastard makes me want to play a trooper
All the models still look like their made out of brown clay, almost no detail, spaztic movement. Textures are washed out and bland, Colorization is overly bright. I dont know, but I hope this graphics engine is still in beta as well, it looks terrible and old still.

I only recently became interested in this game, so forgive my uninformed state. Is there even one world that will cater to large-scale open-world PvP battles like that shown in this video?
yes, its called Ilum(which is what was seen in the video). not too much is known about it right now. here is video of when they first talked about it back at pax.

there was supposedly some more video shown during the panel yesterday but full video of the panel hasnt been posted yet
Also if you select a PvP server then it opens up more than one planet to open pvp combat, minus the origin (starter) worlds and capitol planets you'll be able to pvp. On a PvE server Illum is the designated arse kicking zone.
