1. Female Norn warrior: I like to play warriors in every new RPG, just to get my feet wet with an easy class. And I love amazonian women.
2. Asura engineer: They are just too cute (sue me), and I waited a long time for the gun-toting class to be revealed. The engineer isn't my perfect idea of a gun class, but I really want my little guy with a big-ass gun.
My first 3 characters will be Sylvari, Norn, and Asura....in no particular order. I'm not sure what their professions will be, but I'm leaning toward thief, elementalist, and ranger....also in no particular order. Of course if mesmer is included in the starting professions....IF it is.....then it will probably replace my ranger roll in my top 3. Mesmers are unspeakably cool. I don't have absolute confidence they will be in game though, at least not in the same form they are in GW1. But we'll see.
Most likely a Human Thief, for one I always play as a human, only exception was a Zabrak in SWG which is human with horns. Second I always play rogue types.

I figure I will either be an asuran or human gaurdian. Im also thinking I might be an engineer, something in the back of my head tells me they will be pretty good in PvP (great team mechanics).
Additionally, here is a site I think you all might like (is on topic) http://www.gw2census.com. It shows a good representation of what class/race combos people have interest in. Enjoy.
My main will b e a Norn Ranger. My alt wil be Charr Thief. I love the Animations Ive seen so far from these combos especially the Charr Thief with pistols strafing and firing.

I think my next character after my Asura thief will be a charr necromancer. I love the idea of the large burly warrior type race being a bad ass caster.

We're on the same wavelength. I know the races will be sylvari, norn then asura, but I'm not 100% decided on the classes. Mesmer is at the top of the list unless something unspeakable happens to them and they become too much a departure from what was established in GW1. Next up is either Hunter or Guardian, both of which I want to play as a norn. Last up is Elementalist or Thief, again, both of which I want to play as an asura.
But I also want a human Mesmer, a charr Engineer, a sylvari Ranger, a sylvari Thief and a sylvari Necro.
I foresee many purchased character slots in my future...
Either engineer or thief because I really want to play a weaponless martial artist, but they'll never add that, so one of those will do. I think one of those will be my main, but i'll try everything, most likely as a norn. The other races don't appeal to me.
Sylvari elementalist, beause elementalist was my first Guild Wars 1 character. I like the alien race idea. And sylvari look better than everybody else.
Asura warrior. I planned this long before videos were out so it has nothing to do with how the look in combat. I just thought it would be funny to play a profession that goes agaisnt the grain for the magical asura. Although, most Eye of the North asura that were given a profession were warriors not spell casters.
Every race and class at some point or other because I'm ADD like that, but right now the Norn appeals most. Not sure what class, though. I know I want an engineer at some point, but for Norn I'm thinking melee. Although the dual wielding pistol thief video has me drooling.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
Charr, because they're incredibly original and there's nothing else like them out there.
They're atypical of fantasy games, unique, and the least trope-able of all the races. They live by loyalty and order, almost to the point where they have their own cultural take on bushdio, and societal take on the Roman Empire. they don't rely on magical alchemies, nature, animal spirits, or the gods to solve problems for them. They're humble to their legion but very independent at the same time. They have a factory city filled with diligent workers, and whilst some races might come up with the odd invention, they squabble too much to ever see it commonly used, but if a charr makes something then soon all charr are using it. (Which is why asuran engineers use charr technology.)
What can I say? There's just a lot to admire. All in all though... there have been countless billions of dryads, and gnomes, humans, and druids, but the charr are something really special. They're something no one has ever done before.
I want to get in on the ground floor of that. I'm a big fan of originality. I'm not the sort of person who wallows in the same old, same old stuff that they've been wallowing and stagnating in for years. Give me something new! Give me something interesting! The charr tick those boxes. Plus, there are more common angles to consider: They have cars, tanks, airships, and when they want to be badass, no one else can even begin to match their badass quotient.
And I'm going to be an enginer first and foremost, because it plays up to what the Iron Legion are: Builders. And I'm going to seek to build a legacy with my main character.

You mean like the Vah Shir in EQ? I mean, yeah not every aspect of the two are the same but that can be said of any of the races, even Arenanet's take on Humans.

I will roll 1st a
Either a Norn or Human Warrior
A human necromancer will be my first character. Why? Because he will be a decedent of my main character from GW1, ah I truly loved MMing in GW1.
1. Female Norn warrior: I like to play warriors in every new RPG, just to get my feet wet with an easy class. And I love amazonian women.

My main will be Human Mesmer ( i just hope Anet doesnot screw up and do not include Mesmers)
Following strongly by Thief
and than Elementalist
As for races. I really want to play Norn , Asura ...
Damn. All is so good.
I want to play them all

Charr: All classes.
Engineer, Necro are likely the first ones I will try.

Going to play them all. Until I play the character customization, I don't know exactly how I'll divide it up.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.
I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.
Human Ranger for starters probably - I prefer the look of humans in GuildWars 1 & 2
but still waiting to see the reveal of the last class
intend to play many alts ))
EQ2 fan sites
Norn Necro - I like snow and minions.
SexuaLobster's Grease Portal
Norn because I like being really tall in MMOs.

Definitely guardian... and most likely sylvari. I'm not going to be 100% sure on the race until character creation.
I'm leaning Norn-thief but sylvari-necromancer looks nice also.
The following statement is false
The previous statement is true
hahah BEES!!
Sylvari Elementalist
- Firstly Elementalist have Amazingly epic spells
- Secondly Elementalist fits sylvari because they're born from trees and shit. You know, Nature and what not..... Colours
Then also a
Norn Warrior (Male)- Asuran Necromancer - Human Thief (Male)- Char Engineer (Male) - Sylvari Ranger (Female) - Human Gaurdian (Female)
Its race and profession, not class.
Sylvari elementalist, beause elementalist was my first Guild Wars 1 character. I like the alien race idea. And sylvari look better than everybody else.

People want to be asura because they are small and thus harder to see in pvp.
Race & Class: Norn Guardian.
Why: Hello ^^ Norse legends brought us the best guardians
Every race and class at some point or other because I'm ADD like that, but right now the Norn appeals most. Not sure what class, though. I know I want an engineer at some point, but for Norn I'm thinking melee. Although the dual wielding pistol thief video has me drooling.

Norn warrior without question. In your face berserker.
Dual wield mace/mace - keep you stunned while bashing your brains in.
2hd - Hammer - for the pure mashing potential
Ranged - Rifle - burst damage and shooting runners in the back.
Last resort - turn to bear form and give you a big hug.
