hi, just curious - i played sb for like a year since release. loved it a lot, despite the numerous flaws it had ... think it's still fun to have a go at it again? or is it nothing more than macro pl and 1337 kids these days? playing wow atm, but both style/mood and pvp are rather tame ...
also, what servers are good? i see they reduced server numbers drastically, and when i played, server choice was important because some were completely dominated by one guild ... this still a prob?

I'd say Wrath is probably the best server. Asian guilds have taken over Redemption, where I play.
Also, as far as leveling, alot of it is macro/exploit since it's so much faster, but you have to watch it or you'll get banned, because alot of people are taking recordings now just to get you banned. Another form of griefing, I guess.
The way I feel about it is, Shadowbane isn't as fun as it used to be, but what else is there? They're all lame in their own way. The good aspects of sb are better than the good aspects of other games in my opinion.
mm. still alot of macro lock and so on. But mostly i tend to find macro groups with active players.. And as for the asian´s taking control of redemption..
Not likely.. The asian have lost all banes while i have been on the server. (bout 3-4 weeks now) so i woulden say they control it.

hrm. i think i'd really hate the macro pl'ing, no matter how tedious lvling is in sb. thanks for the replies, i might give it a shot nevertheless.

Bleh, the best server by far is Test. Live servers suck imo. I haven't played on a live server since Chaos went down and probably never will again. Anyways, they have fixed a lot of the lag and bugs that used to be there, and the populations are getting back up there, sorta. They've added some good new features as well. So, now would be a good a time as any to come back.
As for sploiting and macroing, if you find a group with a pl that's most likely what is going to happen. (On Test anyways, I have no idea if it's the same on Live servers anymore) I think it's better this way because I can get 75 in a day and still have time to hop around and gank people to test out the new toon. That's what this game was made for.. PvP.
Test would be much better if it wasn't down to like a 170ish primetime pop.

This is true. Makes it hard to find people to gank. This is up however since last test where the numbers were down to about 60 primetime.
