MMORPGS and MMOS for the XBOX360!!!!

Yo everyone! I hear that mmorpgs and mmos will be released on the xbox 360 with the xbox live service. Thats gonna be awsome. I wonder if there is some way that a 360 player and a PC player could play the same game on the same server? Yeah that would be awsome!

Final Fantasy XI is coming out for the XBOX 360. It will be playable with PC gamers on the same servers. As well as PS2. It will not be played/launched through XBOX L ive. I t will be through Playonline. Microsoft has allowed this to happen.

I don't know if any other MMO's are coming out on the XBOX 360 but I garentee there will be more coming if not already in production.

I heard about WoW rumours for the 360.

Blizzard has been talking with microsoft....

and so far there's nothing much to say except that its very possible.

I think playing an MMO on a console would be awesome. You can just sit back on the couch and relax while you play instead of sitting on your office chair all day. ::::28::

FFXI is slated for release on the 360. It already serves PC and PS2 users all on the same servers, and it should be that way for the 360 people too, so you'll be right in there playing alongside the PC and PS2 players.

I guess you're not aware that all next gen consoles will be High Definition, and that you'll be able to hook them up to either a TV or PC Monitor...

Bullshit they don't crash, i've had my xbox crash on me more times then my computer. You also never have to upgrade your video card, the only reason you do this is to play new upcoming games, you basically do the same exact thing by buying a new console system to play newer better loooking games.

And cheaper has no say here. I could make a computer with the computing power of the xbox for probably less then $150. 700mhz processor, 64mb ram, and just one souped up video card.

My xbox crashes more than my comp as well. It doesnt happen often, but it happens even less with my computer. I dunno, this might be an alright idea, I'd like to see if ther is an advantage to playing with the keyboard, or if they find a way to fit it all in ther.. Im still a bit sceptical tho

Also FFXI And the next Morrowind (elder scrolls) will be on xbox 360, that is gonna be a MUST PLAY for rpg fans.

Xbox 360 is gonna be amazing, cheaper than buying a new video card and more powerful than a lot of our pc's at present. I love PC but I was a console gamer first.

Console is definetly the next step for mmo's to take, but Final Fantasy XI and Vangaurd aren't games that will play well through a console. The main mmo's that will do well on the console are ones designed simliar to an Action-RPG, not a Traditional RPG. This is because they can go without a keyboard for the main portion of playing. As well the bulk of players that will play that type of game will be using the console.

World's of Warcraft can possibly do well on the console, and so can some Korean MMO's but I doubt other mmo's can do the same. As well the target console will probably be the PS2 or PS3 since the main people who play Action-RPG's have these consoles. I doubt they will fork over $500 to microsoft to play them on the XBox 360, when the PS3 is just as promising to use, and they can still play thier old games on it.

A few reasons that PC (far)> Console with MMO's

On a console, without paying another 20-30$ for a keyboard, chat between you and someone else consists of "If you want healing, spin around" *Spins around*
PC has the potential to have far greater graphics than any console.
With a PC. "Oh, I dont know where we can find Item A. Let me check." *Minimizes game, goes to website.* "We can go to So and So to get that!"
PC has ability to go through many menus fast, efficiently, and without much trouble.
Much harder to switch from Controller to Keyboard, than go from arrow keys or WASD to type.

These are just a few of the many reasons PCs greater than console with MMO's. Not saying consoles are bad, i have all of em right now, including handhelds, I just think MMO's are better played on a computer.

MMo game that would fit perfectly to XboX 360, isn't Hack & slash game, but more a game in which Combat skill are needed, a game where combat are made like in FABLE or other game of the type! they will just need to make the combat system work for team play, since that those kind of combat are more like "Hit everywhere without aiming till he die"! ::::20::

If your guys xbox's are crashing then maybe there is somthing wrong with it. Mine never crashes and ive never had problems with it. Get a new one or get it fixed.
