Meh, When I started playing the trial was a month not just two weeks.
Really though try the game. DAoC is a really great game. (especial Lamorak) Its looks complicated at first but just read, read, read and read the books that come with the game and you will know everything you need. If more newbies read the books that come with the game, it would be awesome.
RvR starts at level one if you want to do the BG. you can in fact go out to the front at level 1, but you will be killed very easily so I would suggest you stay in the battlegrounds because you will only fight people around your level.
Each side has their own set of classes. Albion has the most players in their realm. Midgard has the fewest in their realm on most servers. But to answer your question directly there are no advantages of one side over the other.

1 is there any level requirements or anything to get into RVR?
2 is there and advantages/disadvantages to which side you join?
